Im looking for the tax rebate that they are trying to push through congress?
Answers: you do not need to do anything to get the rebate, you will receive a check from the irs this summer between july and august as part of the economic jump starting program. singles taxpayers get $600 and married couples get $1200, each child that a person has will contribute an additional $300.
If you're actually in the UK as a resident, I doubt you will get it. We here in the US aren't even sure if it is going to happen.
All the hype, teasing, and then Congress may not go through with it. I smell recession/ depression and a wicked civil war brewing.
:)
from what i understand it has been passed. It seems a working individual would get 600, a working couple 1200 and each child another 300. It's not anything that you're gonna get with your taxes. I've read that is something that will go out in June or so. I know im looking forward to it.

Answers: do you live at home, have she beening supplying you with food, paying adjectives the bills? If so, she has a right to claim you. If not, reach a deal to the IRS about it, and catch their input.
Too Late for you now, as I get the drift it. Need to work out something with your folks for NEXT YEAR. If they are providing you a place to stay, and you guzzle their groceries, then they should procure the deduction. IF YOU rob care of adjectives these things, then You should obtain it. So who puts the roof over your head? IF you live alone, out of the parents house, next it should be yours, I would think. It's really up to your mom and you to work this our between the two of you. :-)
How do you report someone for falsely claiming a dependent child on their taxes?
Answers: You can mail in your return claiming the clild as well and you will both get a letter from the IRS and then you will have to prove who actually supported the child. If they lived with you more than half the year (school records, doctor records) and you provided more than half their support then they are your to claim unless a divorce decree states otherwise. The person who claimed your child will have to pay pack what they received for claiming the child and you will recieve your refund at a later date.
Just report it to the IRS! There is a link below. . .
Good luck
After you call the IRS and report the situation. Call Childrens and Youth Services about the living conditions. They should investigate and if the living conditions are as you say, they will give the mom either time to clean up or take the child.
The child should live in a clean , safe environment no matter who claims the child.
