I didn't database taxes contained by 2006. Will record within 2007?
I didn't file taxes contained by 2006 due to the fact the I have no earned income. My merely income was child support. (No I'm not a bum, lol I have a heart attack and 1 of my children has crohn's disease and be ill most of the year) I did work 2 job in 2007. I received a W-2 for 1 position and 1099-Misc for the other. Can I efile for 2007 even though I didn't file surrounded by 2006? Can I efile with a 1099-Misc for nonemployee compensation? ( I do bookwork for truck drivers)I hold 2 children and I own my home so I should get a nice return this year.
Thank you.
Answers: Yes you can efile. Get a program resembling Turbotax to see which way you can best record status. MFS has abundant drawbacks.
Hi. Part one:
You will have to contact your husband to see how he's file. If there is no interlocutory bill or decree of separate care, you would file as married. Then you could oral exam the software to see whether you get more by file married filing separately or married file jointly. I say aloud that because it sounds like you enjoy huge medical bills. So if your husband had a small income, next to your large income (2 jobs), you could conceivably hold a lesser income due liability by filing Married file separately. It doesn't happen repeatedly, but it does happen.
You may not necessarily go and get a return, however. Bad news, unless, or course you sent surrounded by estimated tax to the IRS. That 1099-MISC system no taxes were withheld. You will own to pay self-employment export tax. That's social security and medicare, here. You also may owe Federal and State, depending. Can't communicate. But you may be eligible for the Child and Dependent care credit since you be separated and you worked two jobs. If your children be under age 17 for adjectives of 2007, you may be eligible for the Child Tax Credit. You may also be eligible for the earned income credit {EIC}.
Part 2: You should directory your taxes for 2006. Believe it or not, you may get a check for earn income credit.
