I other do my taxes and use a 1040EZ. This year I get some 1099-B's from my member of staff stock..?

..I cashed it out a handful of times last year. How should I folder my taxes this year?? Can I not use 1040EZ this year? HELP! I'm soooo confused! I don't know if they were gains/losses/any of that second-hand goods??

Answers: Sorry, you can't use the EZ form this year. The 1099-B is used for Proceeds from Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions and cannot be recorded on the EZ. The just allowable income is wages, salaries, tips, taxable grant or fellowship grants, job loss compensation, or Alaska Permanent Fund dividends, and taxable interest.

I would recommend you use a professional tax preparer if you are unsure of how to feel the 1099-B or any other form with which you are not used to.

You can also try out www.TaxAct.com - your return is free to prepare and free to eFile your federal return. The 1099-B is a basic form. The software will waddle you through entering the information.

Good luck!
You have to use the 1040 - I don`t know the 1040 A.

With the recent decline contained by Real Estate values, will the County Auditor lower their appraisals?

and my property taxes? I doubt it will ever happen!

Answers: They probably won't do it on their own, but you can dispute the significance they assign if you have some evidence that the advantage should be lowered. Check the sale prices for similar homes contained by your area and after file a dispute when you receive the note from the tax assessor stating your property utility.
The county assessors office will never give somebody a lift it upon themselves to lower the tax assessment on property values. You can bid them and ask how to dispute the tax assessment on your property. If you plan on selling the property in the next few years, I wouldn't lower the toll assessment, but if you plan on keeping the property for over 5 years, it would be in your best interest to do so.
