Help beside stock charge cross-examine?

Hi this was my first year trading stocks and I enjoy some questions on paying taxes. I received contained by the mail a 1099b statement from TD Ameritrade my "gross proceeds" be 2,750. Basically I bought 2,600 worth of LVLT and 2 weeks later I sold it to construct $150 profit. Nowhere on my 1099 does it say anything in the order of the $150 profit.

How do I file this gain?

Can I put it on near my 1040A and what does it go beneath?

I am in the 15% due bracket what percentage tax is salaried?

Thanks in finance for any help

Answers: A 1099 from the stockbroker will lone show the total proceeds or sale. It does not show the cost proof. You should have these accounts available yourself. This transaction will be reported on Schedule D, Capital Gain and Losses .Since it was bought and sold contained by less than a year, it must be reported on the Short occupancy gain portion of the schedule. By following the form, the $ 150. will arrive on the 1 st page of the return. This will be totaled along next to other income and correct tax calculated.
