How does the due rebate work?

I'm 17 year old that made rather over 5000 last year.

I read it be 300-1200 per household but does that mean just my father (the only working adult) will get hold of the rebate or do all of us (myself and three siblings aged 17, 19, 19) who made over 3000 return with it as well

Answers: If you are claimed as a dependent, your parents will be eligible for the new $300 rebate for you as a dependent child.

Currently, it appears you would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $600 if you paid that much surrounded by Federal Income Tax. If you only rewarded $350 in taxes (less than the $600 rebate limit), you singular get fund $350.

Since you had over $3000 surrounded by income, you would qualify for the $300 minimum.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, within 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

It's similar to a one time tax cut for 2008, but you capture the rebate now instead of waiting to profile your 2008 taxes.

Because this is an advance grant on your 2008 taxes, your refund subsequent year could be more (or less!) depending on your 2008 income.

Nothing have passed Congress yet, so adjectives details are subject to change. Check out the referenced sites below for more info.
According to this article, even though you are a student, if you made over $3000 and file a tax return, you would return with at least $300. Read this article because several college students own asked the same piece! (there are 4 pages to the article)

The proposed rebate plan is really rather simple. ALL persons reporting at tiniest $3000 in income receive the minimum $300 rebate.

Single taxpayers who rate more than $300 but less than $600 within 2007 Federal Income Tax receive a rebate equal to the tax rewarded. Single taxpayers who pay $600 or more within 2007 Federal Income Tax receive a $600 rebate.

However, the Senate is currently fiddling with the bag so all this may rework.

I reckon you should be paying lb134/month within Tax and about lb56 contained by National Insurance, so yeah, its about right ... sorry, response to the real world!

If you multiply your monthly gross by 12, and reduce by your tax code ( lb5250), and whack bad 20%, then divide that by twelve again, shows what your Tax is monthly

lb200 might not be desperate for you, compared to the tax you clear, but for someone like me that lb200 levy a month is the difference being surrounded by poverty and not. That extra lb400 a month myself and my partner could bring in, is the difference between living surrounded by a decent nouns and not! If we could save up that much every month, we could buy our own house! Sadly it's a pipe dream for some of us lol
My aunt also pays around what you pay envelope a month and she has a nice house, vehicle, lifestyle. we don't. So if your on the lower end of paying due, your salary is not big. Therefore we don't have equal benefits for our lives as you!
if you only want to repay lb200 a month then please do come down to East London and swap beside me. You make it nouns like your go is so hard paying so much export tax lol
I used to Live on Battersea Rise in Clapham but the rich folk moved contained by and put prices up so high, after 25 years living nearby I was forced to move.
As to the questioner, as other enjoy said, yet it is right. Im on something like the same amount as ably! :) And I can't even put anything towards my pension etc. Ahh all right :)
How can your partner be working 60 hours a week and get lb1107 as a gross gross,cos if he's on the minimum wage then your gross should be more-about lb1400?
But for lb1107,lb200 sounds give or take a few right.
Imagine what I pay.My hourly rate works out as smaller number than half the minimum wage an hour(it's legal) AND I enjoy to pay the matchless NI possible.
For that amount your husband's hours work out at about 45 hours per week which is normal(well if your that lucky)
Gross income: lb13,284
Less allowance: lb5250
Taxable Pay: lb8,034
Lower rate: lb2230 (a) 10% -> lb223.00 due
Standard :lb5804 (a) 22% --> lb1276.88 tax
NI (a) 11% = lb1461.24

Total tariff and NI = lb2961.12 which comes out at lb246.76 per month.

This assume you have be paid lb1107 per month since April 2007.
