What's the best online tax prep to use and is download better than cd?
Answers: My preference is Taxact. I used Turbotax for years also, but this year their website was not functioning correctly for me and delaying my return processing, so I switched.
Quick tax is an excellent program. It is much easier to download on the web. Each year has different tax calculation based upon what the government regulates.

I just find it easier to download rather than buying the cd because I have a hard time running the cds, end up loosing it, they get scratched etc..
Plus you would have to a buy a different cd every year, because each year the calculation changes.

I used Turbo Tax Deluxe, I got it for free here http://getturbotaxfree.com I've used it for several years immediately and found it to be really easy to use. I haven't used any other software so I don't hold anything else to compare it too.
