Is carbon tax easier and fairer than carbon 'cap and trading'?

Answers: Yet another law that will run more jobs out of the country.

Are they going to "carbon tax" the two biggest polluters on earth? (China/India)

bwaaaaahahahahahaa
both of them are nonsense

"global warming" is the hoax of the decade
How about none of the above?

Don't trees and plants need carbon dioxide like animals need oxygen? I don't understand why people are so amped to let the government tax them on the air they breath.

If you owe State Taxes ($185.00) for 2007 do you still qualify for the Stimulus Rebate?

Answers: The amount of your STATE taxes has nothing to do with the proposed FEDERAL Income Tax rebate.

Under the terms of the tentative agreement between the White House and Congressional Democrats, individual taxpayers would get up to $600 in rebates, working couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child under the agreement. Families who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.

Nothing has passed Congress yet, so everything is subject to change.
No possible way to know. It's not been passed yet so nobody knows anything about it but rumor and innuendo.

Can truck drivers acquire a estimate on here taxes for nearby cell phones?

My husband is a truck driver and he has to hold a cell to contact the shippers and recivers for veriouse reasons (directions, wise saying he will be late, blaa blaa you bring back the Idea)

We have a t-mobile plan so it is 99 a month.
1 cell is mine and have nothing to do next to his work.

My question is can he seize the $50 back because he uses his cell for work?

Answers: Yes. His portion of the bill would be a export tax deductable business expense.
Absolutly, he can also get monies for department use (his truck).
Do you answer the phone for him? Your phone is now an bureau phone and tax deductable. You really have need of to speak (spend the money) to a tax advisor, it will restore your business and home financial outlook.
Yes. Is he an owner operator?
If so, what type of truck? Could use some flat bed and reefers this spring. Where are his lanes?
A word of alertness about cell phones - the IRS tend to disallow them because they almost never meet the criteria to whip the deduction. A cell phone is "scheduled property" and unless it is "required as a condition of his employment and is for the convenience of his employer" than it is nothing more than his personal cell phone which he have chosen to use at work to make his own existence easier.
