1/28/08 no word on my refund from hr block anyone waiting from 1/25/08 get theres yet?

Answers: I'm having the same problem. I've used HR Block for the past 6 years and did everything the same never did I have to wait extra days. I'm really disappointed. I contacted HR block and they said it would be 1-3 days and if the IRS states my check was deposited on Friday then it was but I have to wait till wed to call them again if I haven't received it. What really sucks is that they can't tell me anything about my money. Like do they see that it has actually been deposited? why can't i access my own money with their system? I say everyone that used the simple pay call them and complain...888-482-9288. With the technology available now there should be no excuse in HR Block holding peoples money.
Thing about that simple pay option is, I've used it before and NEVER had a delay. This is HRblock screwing things up.
They used to use HSBC for handling fees this year they decide to use their own bank HRblock bank? and all of a sudden theres a 1-3day delay in transfering money? No friggen way. HSBC always got my money to me on the same day of the IRS deposit date!
Why the Delay now? Only HR block knows, they should know that I will never use them agan. Hopefully others having problems with them wont use them agan either...
They have finally update there systems, nowing it's saying refund has been accepted by the irs on today(which is bull), and now it can take up to 2 business days. So people nothing intil Wed. it seems.

Is in that a bearing to find out if my X tried to claim my daughter again this yr? He be told by the regard as being "no"!

Last yr was supposedley an chance and he said he claimed her while we were contained by the middle of custody hearings. My daughter have lived with me since we moved out and he said that "they" did it on stroke of luck because her SSN was still surrounded by his file but I don't believe that because I claimed her the yr earlier and he did not. I have a intuition that he is attempting again thinking he got away near it last yr. Is within any thing I can do save for sit and wait to see if my taxes are rejected again?

Answers: Judys answer is your course of performance.
Not really anything you can do EXCEPT file as hasty as you can and beat him to the punch!

Good Luck!

you are not responsible for your ex-'s behaviors.

profile the way you should. forget him.

if IRS subsequent comes back and say something, show them the judge's order and later year's papers -- they'll go away and hassle your ex- instead.
Sorry, something like the only mode you can find out is to try to efile your own return claiming her and see if it's accepted or not. If it's rejected though, that doesn't indicate you can't claim her, it just scheme you'd have to communication it in. If he also claimed her you will BOTH catch a letter from the IRS almost it - so if you get one, don't run out and amend your return and drop the exemption, that's something HE have to do. If he doesn't, the IRS will do it for him.

Good luck.
Unfortunately there is no mode to check in finance. Don't let him return with away with it. Work near the IRS. If your daughter lives with you and not your ex during the entire year, they would tolerate you have the conjecture before your ex no event when you file. Too discouraging you let him get hold of away with it second year.

Taxes on 401k?

I left my opportunity and cashed in my 401k. When I report my taxes what is the % amount they charge for taxes on that besides the 10% pentalty tax?

Answers: depends on your marginal rates bracket--the same as any other additional income.
The 401K that you cashed contained by will be taxed as humdrum income, at whatever your duty rate is, plus the 10% penalty.

The coaching credit isn't a flat $1500, the amount of your credit depends on your eligible tuition and fee expenses.

They probably withheld 20% from your 401K distribution - that might not pay packet all the excise you owe on it, but will cover a lot of it.

The 10% cost will be based on the amount of the subtraction, not your refund. So if your 401K be $10,000, the penalty will be $1000 and that will any come out of your refund or if your reimbursement isn't that large, you'll hold to pay any extra.
