Taxes Questions and Answers

Why is my export tax rebate smaller than ultimate year?

I did my tax near TaxCut again this year. I noticed that I'm getting a smaller export tax rebate unlike last year, but I don't know what's wrong... I made twice as more this year. Shouldn't I take more back? Also I've be going to a community college. I have my 1098-T, but I want to know do I qualify for the Hope Credit? I've be going to school for more than 2 years, but I'm still not finished beside my 2nd year.

Thanks everyone :)

Answers: Your income put you in a better tax bracket. That's why. How tons years have you claimed the Hope Credit?
the more you gross the more they take not celebration i no.

Income tariff return ask?

if i file for taxes even though my mom is claiming me am i still elgible for the rebate they might be giving?

Answers: If you are claimed as a dependent, your mom will be eligible for the second $300 rebate for you as a dependent child.

Under the current proposal, you also would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $600 if you paid that much contained by Federal Income Tax. If you only rewarded $350 in taxes (less than the $600 rebate limit), you solitary get vertebrae $350. Since you had earn income of at least $3000, you will achieve at least the minimum rebate of $300.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is in fact a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, in 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zilch percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

It's like a one time tariff cut for 2008, but you get the rebate immediately instead of waiting to file your 2008 taxes.

Because this is an mortgage payment on your 2008 taxes, your settlement next year could be more (or smaller quantity!) depending on your 2008 income.

Wondering if points remunerated for the buyer are levy deductible?

We sold our home in april 2007, as quantity of the sales agreement we rewarded 3 points for the new buyers of our house. Are these points import tax deductible? Usually points come into play when buying a house, but in our skin we were large and paid some for the fresh buyers.

Answers: They're not deductible in the classic sense, however they DO make smaller the proceeds form the sale. That reduce the gain on the sale and if you hold any taxable gain it will reduce the tariff that you'll pay on that gain.

However if your gain is smaller amount than $250,000 if Single or $500,000 if Married Filing Jointly and you lived in the home for 2 of the ultimate 5 years as your principal residence and have not claimed the exclusion from excise on the gain on the sale of a personal residence surrounded by the 2 years prior to the closing date of this sale, after you don't owe any taxes on the gain so the lower gain has no affect on you.

But heck, surrounded by this market any Dutch auction is a good mart if you walk away beside anything in your pocket. I'd cheerfully pay 3 points to shift my place!
They cannot be deduct as interest on your return like they would be if it be for your mortgage. However, they are seller's expense which will reduce the amount of gain realize
