Who files the excise form 1098-T?
My college student daughter received this form, which shows in box 2 "amount billed for qualified tuition and related expenses", and contained by box 5 "Scholarships or Grants". The dollar amount in box 5 is slightly smaller than within box 2. My daughter did not have any other taxable income for the year 2007, though she have filed returns surrounded by years past.My ask is: Do I file this on my excise return, since she is a dependant, or does she file her own toll return, even though she has no other income? She turned 19 contained by January 2008.
Your help is appreciated!
Answers: if she have no taxable income you should do it so you can get the credits/deductions from it, she wont procure any money back from it but you will
also box 5 is taken sour of box 2 when you file
Tax refund- do you find refund for your social payment?
assuming you qualify for refund (which i sure do this year!!), would you be refund for money spent on Medicaid + Social security? Or is it purely Federal withholdings that you get refund on?Answers: Your federal and state taxes are what runs the government. Social Security and medicare is a retirement program.
You adjectives must be very young at heart, because I paid into Social Security for 33 years and have to retire early due to disability. I sure am glad that it is in attendance and that I paid into it for so long. I can survive on it. I may not live long plenty to collect everything that i paid into it, so I guess that I'll purely have to exceed my share that i paid on to you. Enjoy my quantity someday.
No. You never get a settlement of medicare of Social security.
Hopefully when you are aged, there will still be satisfactory money left to settle for your benefits.
I did my taxes and all i get back be the federal withholdings.
Medicaid and S.S=nothing back!
No, you're paying into Social Security beneath the pretense that when you qualify, you will receive a Social Security check.
Unfortunately, the way it looks immediately there won't be anything vanished .
NO. Only thing you can bring back back would be STATE AND FEDERAL. It sucks but thats the channel it is. You pay loads within but don't never get anything stern close to what you paid surrounded by.
