Where can I record?
a non resident/ part resident state return when I 've already done my federal return. I be waiting on doing the state return when I had $ to repay for it, now I dont know how to do this or should I step to a tax specialist?Answers: Most state returns are fundamentally simple, all the complicated work was done on the Federal return. They will ask for some numbers bad your federal return (I hope you kept a copy). and have a few other items. I would not take-home pay anyone to fill out an Illinois excise return.
It's no more complicated than income from one state. I suggest you go on the pattern and pay the $9.99 to record state taxes with turbotax. They guide you through and it's amazingly simple.
I worked for a home daycare provider and I enjoy no clue where on earth to directory my earn wages?
I received a hand altered W2, but the system is not excepting the social of the woman I worked for. Am I suppost to be putting it under possibly self-employment or a 1099 Misc??Answers: This could be trouble. If she gave you a W2, you should be capable of file it as wages, not as self-empoyment or a 1099 misc.
Your employer is supposed to withhold Federal Tax, Social Security tariff, Medicare, and State tax if applicable, and income those witholdings to the appropriate govermnent agencies.
Does your W2 show that these things were withheld? If so, your employer should own a valid employer ID. If nothing be withheld, then you are effectively a contractor and hold to pay it out of your own pocket. Contact the IRS, the give free advice.
I really imagine perhaps you should consider obtain the service of a tax preparer or counsellor. I know it will cost $$, but I think it is safer this agency.
I received 2 W-2's for one of my job, I work surrounded by IL, but my employer have most important office within CA.?
The one W-2 has stars where on earth it shows the boxes 1-11 inside the boxes. It has the IL Employer state ID number, and say * Duplicate Do Not File* in the nouns listing my address and first name. The other W-2 has adjectives the information included, but does not have the IL Employer State ID number but have a CA ID number. Is this because they forgot to include the IL Tax number on the first one so they sent another?
Answers: I would call IRS. something is incorrect here.
One is an inspired, one is a duplicate--do not file it.
