W-2 forms/Income duty support!!?

I worked 6 jobs concluding year. I had my full time errand, my part time available job, and 4 side jobs that i did on disorganized weekends. I'm still waiting for 5 out of the 6 w-2 forms (i think they're called) earlier i can feel out my income due information. Somebody yesterday told me that if i made less than 600 dollars (which i probably did contained by those jobs) then you would seize a different form not a w-2.i think she said its call a 1099 form. but that person told me that if you're not a "normal" hand then you wouldn't receive anything and you would only just put how much money you made from those jobs on a dependable section on your income charge forms.does anybody know if this is true?! Am i waiting around for nothing?! Does this even create sense!? Thanks

Answers: What you were told have some truth but also some mistakes. Getting a W-2 or a 1099 doesn't depend on how much you make, it depends on whether you are an hand or not. And employee have taxes taken out, at least for social protection and medicare, and gets a W-2. And independent contractor is responsible for his own taxes, and get a 1099. If you do work as a contractor, and make beneath $600, they aren't required to send you a 1099 - you are still required to report the income though, from your own annals of what you were compensated.

If you were an hand in your leisure job but don't own your W-2 yet, hand over them a call and ask them what happen to it.

The 1099 income will go on a calendar C or more likely C-EZ, and you'll involve a schedule SE also, and will use a form 1040 not 1040A or 1040EZ.
You will still draw from W-2's for those jobs if you be an employee.

The individual way you would capture 1099's is if you were considered an independent contractor. A 1099 will not be file with the IRS if you made over $600.
Only you would know if you be an employee or independent contractor.
