What is the best way to do your taxes?
Answers: I had my accountant do mine; it only took her about 30 minutes! I was pretty impressed because I thought that because I bought a home last year that it would be difficult. Bottom line: have a professional do them; it's quick and easy.
If yur return is simple, you can easily do them yourself. Just go to www.irs.gov and print out the forms, tax table, and instructions. If you are not comfortable with that have an accountant do them, but it will cost $100-$300 depending on the difficulty. I ahve been doing mine for years, even with house purchases, children, moving to different states. It is very easy, I learned how in my 9th grade personal finance class.
How much does H&R block charge for them to do your taxes?
Answers: They are a rip-off.. expect to pay $150-$250 for having H&R Block do a return for you.. and if your return is simple and you have for example, a W2 and 1 dependent, I recommend using Turbotax or Taxact and efiling your own. Both of those online filing companies will charge anywhere from free to $80 depending on how much guidance you require to get the job done. Best of Luck.
They charge per form. You can go there and have them do your taxes and if you don't like what they charge you do not have to accept the return nor are not obligated pay. Of course, you do not get the return.
They do have a service wherein for 29.95 they will deduct the cost of preparing the taxes from your return. At least that is the cost in Louisiana.
It depends on how intricate your taxes are, but, mine generally cost about $200. However, they wait and take it out of your refund so you don't have to pay anything up front.
too much. You should try TurboTax online. If you make under a certain amount your state taxes filing is free and the federal filing is $9.95.
Last time i did my taxes with them four years ago it cost $120. I learned my lesson and now i use turbo tax online for a whole lot less, and get back a lot more money. Its not hard to do, (even my computer retarded mother did it) you just answer the same questions they ask you at an H&R Block. I think even H&R block has an online tax service thats cheaper than going to an office.
they were gonna take 80 % from me i dont recommend them.
Too much, you can do the same thing for less with Turbo Tax on-line, or find a real accountant who will probably charge you the same, or less.
I went to H&R block last year. Don't waste your money!
The lady that did mine knew nothing. She was basically just filling in our information on a computer...which we could have done our selfs using turbo tax.
$125.00 to $300.00 and up.
do it online it is simple here is 15% off

When do the w-2s have to be mailed out?
Answers: The last day for employers to mail out W-2s was yesterday, so, allowing a little time for the mail, you should receive your W-2s within the next couple of days if your employer waited until the last minute. If you haven't received them by 2-15, then you can call the IRS, and they will file a complaint with your employer. You should receive your W-2s promptly after that.
You always have the option of calling your employer to see whether they have mailed them, and getting a duplicate copy if needed. They may even email it to you.
by 1-31 shuld be done. got all mine.
start calling Human Resources if you do not have. it is a law that this must be done.
