Taxes Questions and Answers

I spent a month and a partly on severance contained by 2007 for a total benefit remunerated to me of $3159. I elected to hold

federal and state tax withheld prior to acceptance my benefit. Will this still affect my tax return or because I elected to hold taxes withheld will it not affect my tax returns as much?

Answers: Unemployment is reportable income and and so increase your income beyond what it would have be. Having taken out withholding you likely will correct any impact the unemployment may enjoy.
Since you had excise withheld, it won't affect your refund as much as it would hold otherwise. If they withheld enough to cover the taxes, it won't cut it and might even increase it if they withheld more than you owe on it. If they didn't withhold enough, your discount would be decreased by anything extra you owe.

Is within an online site for file JUST my state rates return?

I filed my federal in the order of a week ago electronically and am now in position to file my state. However, everytime I try to folder it on a site they want me to file BOTH my federal and my state return. I lately need my state return file. Does anyone know of a site where I can JUST do my state? I live surrounded by NC.

Answers: Hey Hillary,

Hmm…….great question. Wasn’t too sure of the answer myself when I saw it.

But looking around I found a site on file taxes online that has what you have need of in detail: http://tubeurl.com/file-taxes-online and some other info on it.

Hope this request for information helps, as I know you asking it help me. If it doesn’t send me a message and I’ll try to minister to you out with it some more.

Best Regards,

A lot of the income rates software is bundled. That means the Federal and State are rolled contained by to one. There was a box that you could hold checked to "separate" the eFiling of the Federal and the North Carolina return. EFile for free here:

Is it true that the more tax paper or more job u file for the less tax return u get bac? bc i have 6 2 file.?

Answers: No that has nothing to do with it. it is the amount of income you made and how much you had withheld that determines how much refund you get or taxes you owe.
You tax liability shouldn't change, it should remain the same.
