In the UK, if you start working 16 hours per week do you lose the right to claim JSA?
My wife just started working at a chore where the hours could be 8, 16, or more per week. at the moment it is 16. What is her entitlement to profession seekers allowance (because she is still seeking a full time job, requirements help near bus fare and so on). Thanks for your help.
Answers: she can work up to 16 hrs a week and still claim JSA however the hours she works and get paid for will be deduct from her allowance so shell probably end up beside nothing anyway. Check adjectives the paperwork you got within the post and it will tell you adjectives this.
I would have thought she wouldn't be entitled as she have a job.
Otherwise it would be call Full-time Job Seekers Allowance!

This will guide you to the JSA section and Income Support subsection. If you are not entitled to JSA you may still be capable of get assist from income support as a low income family.
Hey!
Your wife is still entitled to work seekers allowance. She can work 16 hours or less a week.
She won't be entitled to JSA, but she may be entitled to Income Support. Also, if she speaks to an advisor at the work centre, they own some kind of New Deal entry, a work trial I think it is, where on earth you have absolute benefits protected. She needs to be in motion and speak to someone at the JOb Centre, and certainly wants to inform them of her new work status.
We are a couple with 1 children. We are getting a tax refund, How much will our tax rebate be. Thanks.?
Answers: Under the compromise bill passed by the Congress, you would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $1200 if you paid that much in Federal Income Tax. If you only paid $750 in taxes (less than the $1200 rebate limit), you only get back $750. If you had earned income of at least $3000, you would get at least the minimum rebate of $300. If you qualify for a rebate, you would receive $300 for the child.
While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, in 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.
It's like a one time tax cut for 2008, but you get the rebate now instead of waiting to file your 2008 taxes. Because this is an advance payment on your 2008 taxes, your refund next year could be more (or less!) depending on your 2008 income.
Use the calculator below to compute your rebate.
i believe it is $1200.
per child.

Net zero. I just read that the money in an advance on your next year taxes. Whatever money you will be getting now, will have to be paid back when you do your taxes next year. The money is not a government gift.
