Taxes Questions and Answers

If i filed a 1040A, will i get the rebate as well, i see 1040 and 1040EZ everywhere, but nothing on 1040a?

Answers: It doesn't matter which form you file.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, in 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

It's like a one time tax cut for 2008, but you get the rebate now instead of waiting to file your 2008 taxes. Because this is an advance payment on your 2008 taxes, your refund next year could be more (or less!) depending on your 2008 income.
You don't need to file anything extra to get the rebate. It will be processed automatically.

If you made more than $3,000.00 you will get the rebate.

Thank you wire service.

Any 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ form is fine. They were trying to point out that a 1040NR and 1040NR-EZ won't qualify. Nor, people who don't file at all.
if you are single person with an income of 75,000 or less you are intitled to the rebate as well as any refund you have coming.

Do I enjoy to report my compromise as income?

I received federal pell grant which exceeds my tuition levy. I filed 1040EZ ultimate year. Can I file 1040EZ again this year? Should I wallet the amount difference as taxable income? Should I claim my college tax credit even if I don't income for it?

Answers: A Pell Grant is NOT taxable income, although some other grants are. However, you shouldn't claim your college toll credit if you don't pay for college.

"Qualified scholarship and fellowships are treated as tax-free amounts if adjectives of the following conditions are met:

You are a candidate for a level at an educational institution,
Amounts you receive as a funding or fellowship are used for tuition and fees required for enrollment or attendance at the educational institution, or for books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction, and
The amounts received are not a fee for your services.

For additional information on Scholarship and Fellowship Grants, refer to Tax Topic 421, and Publication 970, Tax Benefits for Education.

I didn't on mine and very soon you have me thinking. I'll check final to see some answers.
Good Luck
It's been awhile since I have a pell grant, but it covers tuition, books and fees. It is simply the amount over that which is provable that would be taxable.
I think if the sum of money be not taxed, you dont enjoy to file it. I own grants from college that I do not enjoy to claim as income because the money is not taxed. With a federal pell compromise, you do not have to claim it.
Pell forfeit money is not taxable to the extent it is used for qualified education expense, which includes things that are required for attendance or enrollment. Any moved out over after that is reportable income and should be reported as other income.

I need assist with accounting homework. Serious answers single please. Federal income tax involves the 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ. Other question I have are:

2)What is the difference between a W-2 and a W-4 form?

3)With federal taxes, what is the significance of a illustrious school student earn $5350 as their adjusted gross income and anyone claimed as a dependent by his/her parent(s)?

Answers: 1. The nation in your lifetime have never operated on a impartial budget. If folks stopped voluntarily paying, the government would enhance already existing methods of nouns. Any reduction within services would be decided by Congress and the President...not by an accountant or anyone contained by OMB.
2. W-2 reports an employee's annual income and tax withholding for the year a moment ago past and a W-4 allows one to claim the appropriate number of export tax exemptions for purposes of income tax withholding surrounded by the future.
3. Using the standard presumption worksheet for depts (pg 32, 1040 instructions), the H.S. student would have a standard conjecture equal to his/her income and would get adjectives of his/her federal income taxes withheld, refunded put money on.
