1099-b shows $59.71 gain but reduce repayment by $653??

we got a 1099-B for broker/barter xchange. Avg. cost starting place is $59.49 more than the gross proceeds. When I plugged this data into an online tariff program, it showed our refund reduced by $653...any direction?

Answers: Your scenario doesn't make sense... It sounds approaching you input the gross proceeds, but neglected to input the cost basis.

EDIT:

The IRS is solitary notified on the gross proceeds amount... The cost spring is for your info only. Use the amount you enjoy in your documentation and see if that comes out different. Just be sure to keep your collection.

Just curious, what is the amount in splash 13 of the front page of your 1040?
I agree that your return is missing a step.

$653 is 15% of the proceeds. With only $60 within gain, you should have a toll bill of $9. Even if you were getting EIC, this should coppers by too much more than that.

right presently?
Not if she JUST gave birth. This is 2008.
No. The child have to be born by 12/31/07 to claim an exemption on your 2007 return.
Look at the calendar, Daddy--it's 2008. THIS is the year you can claim Baby...now take offline and go be beside your wife & babe!

All the best to ya!
When you are filing your tariff return you should be answering the questions as if it be 12/31/2007. You didn't have your child on that date so you cannot claim him/her.

Turbo export tax may let you put it within but the IRS will reject it
A child who isn't born yet at the cease of 2007 can't be claimed on a 2007 return. You can claim the child starting for the year when they're born.
