Can't take rates ego, EIN or ssn from daycare provider?

Im filing my taxes via turbotax. they are asking me for the import tax id or ein number of my daycare provider. The problem is that my provider say she doesn't have an EIN # and won't hand over me her SSN#. She is an in home provider but simply will give me her license number. I've tried to have a word to the state licensing board, but they won't call for me back. Any planning?

Answers: she is hiding something. there is somewhere on the form where on earth you can provide her license # and name and address and cause a note that she does not want to provide her social security#. they will track her down and you are covered. Just hang down on to your receipts and inform her of what you did.
She's not paying income tax.

Susan w is right.
Make a notation that our daycare provider refuse to give her EIN or SS. Give the IRS her address, phone number and christen and they will contact her. Be sure you have rear up to prove the money you paid her.

Personally I would find a topical daycare provider if she is trying to screw you out of a legit tax assumption so she can cheat the IRS out of taxes she owes.
When you put her SSN or EIN down and claim the amount that you paid her- this essentially is reporting her income to the IRS. This why she won't make available you this information. If she files her tax return and say that she made $15,000 for the year but the IRS adds up more than $24,000 worth of dependent caution expenses claimed under her SSN- they will undoubtedly want to ask her where the difference come from. My suggestion would be to contact the IRS and ask if there's anything that you can do- they are usually pretty helpful.

California Tax Law: what toll form(s) do I inevitability to database if I get W2 from both states California and Texas?

I am a residence of California and I went to Texas and worked within and now I am hindmost in California.

Answers: Well, Texas does not own an income tax so you enjoy nothing to record for Texas.

For California, it sounds like you be a CA resident the entire time with a intervening job assignment contained by Texas. California requires all residents to report adjectives income from all sources. CA provides a import tax credit for taxes paid to another state, but contained by this case, you won't recompense any taxes to Texas so no credit.

You can file the forms you usually do as long as you report the Texas W-2 as wages on your CA return.

My 17yr old made $3000 should he file taxes? Does it affect mine since I will still be claiming him?

Answers: If he had anything withheld for income tax, he should file to get it back.. If $400 or more was from self-employment he is required to file. Otherwise there isn't any point in his filing.

If he files, be sure he checks that he can be claimed as a dependent (the "YOU" box on line 5 on a 1040EZ). It won't affect your return if he files.
Yes, he should file and it will not affect you as long as he marks off that he can be claimed as a dependent and doesn't claim himself. His standard deduction will be his earned income plus 300 not the regular standard deduction for someone who is not a dependent.
