How long will my compensation remain within "processing" status near the IRS?
I e-filed my taxes a couple of weeks ago, and the "where's my refund" pages states that my return have been received, is processing, and I should receive my reimbursement by Feb. 12. Is there any bearing to find out if there is a suspension (besides waiting )? How long does "processing" generally lift?Answers: E-filed and accepted 1/14/08. Date initially be 2/12/08, then switched to 1/29/08, onlyto move to 2/19/08 on 1/24. This date have been impassive since, that is until today. Date changed to a Direct deposit of 2/8/08 (first time I hold seen "direct deposit" followed by a Friday date) on my IRS update page.

Hi,I am a F1 student who just get my first oncampus job. My employer give me form w4 to fill. I entail to know as a part US-Ind export tax treaty how many total allowances I am entitled too.
Can I specify standard estimate as a part of allowances. This referred from Pub 519 pg 43 Column 1-
"If you are eligible for the benefits of Article 21(2) of the United States-India Treaty, you may claim an extra withholding allowance for the standard deduction."
If yes, next total should be two right. I am single and no spouse or dependents.
And are non resident aliens exempt from NY state taxes.
Answers: Single 2 is okay, but won't guarantee a refund.
NRAs owe NY state taxes. The toll treaty is with the federal policy (and you weren't exempt there either), not the indiviudal states.
I would right to be heard visit www.VisaTaxes.com and
