Im confused around state import tax return?

I know how to do the federal tax return. I merely use a 1040 form. However, I still have to do a state return. Was I supposed to attain that form in the post from the PA government? I get a "2007 Local Earned Income Tax Return" from my resident jurisdiction so is that the state tax return? And if it isnt, after why did they send that to me??
Also, I am trying to do a FAFSA for financial aid for college. When I fill out the FAFSA, are they going to ask me to transport them copies of my federal and state returns??

Answers: You aren't likely to return with a state tax form box in the e-mail. You can pick up the forms and instructions at your local library, or download them at the state website at http://www.revenue.state.pa.us/revenue/c...

The local earned income form is a moment ago that, local, not state - it's to your city or township. It's 1% in most of PA, more contained by Philadephia and Pittsburgh.

In PA you'll file a state return if you have taxable income over $33, and alocal return if you had earn income. Plus of course your federal return if you are required to folder one.
go to PA's Department of Revenue or Taxation department & download a form from them - FAFSA will ask for info on your federal return not sure if they want a copy or not

Income Tax Question?

Ok, so, I was discussion to my dad and he was approaching , "last year, we rewarded $650,000 in income taxes." I'm interested, how much would that be going to he made last year. Just curious, if anyone can distribute me an accurate answer and how they came by it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Answers: Using the foundation maximum rate of 35% for 2006 the taxable income wold be $1,857,143. The Gross income would be impossible to calculate because you would hold to figure out adjectives deductions and exemptions from Gross Income. Whatever it is - it's alot!
It would own to be a gross of close to a couple million - and could be much more. How much would depend on what deductions he have, and you didn't give that info and probably don't own it.
