Taxes Questions and Answers

Turbo import tax put somebody through the mill?

I bought turbo tax deluxe, Federal plus State. I call for to file next to VA, DC, MD, and PA, because i apparently worked in adjectives four last year.

So, near Turbotax I get one free state (DC)--how much does it cost to attach more states once I'm in the program? How would i step about doing it "by getting the form at the post office" ?

Where can i bring PA's form online so I don't have to drive to PA to do it, and so i don't enjoy to file online beside the PA website (it's too archaic for me).

Any help would be great. Thanks !

Answers: TurboTax.com have information on how to get more forms, the price and how to record returns for multiple states.

Just use the search tablet and search for "Multiple States".
I'd dispense you the exact link but runeye.com disabled this function.
Just file with Turbo Tax
and it go step by step and askes if you worked in different states
mine be simple did it online for 20.00 for fed/state but mine was more simple merely one state.
you may not have to purchase anything else.
perchance someone else will know,
but don' tthink you do

When filing state taxes, should I add the SDI (state disability insurance) to the total?

Answers: Yes, it should be added. This is from the IRS website:

You must include in your income sick pay from any of the following:

* A state sickness or disability fund.
You should add it ,but it should not be included in your taxable income, because you contribute to that fund on your paycheck, and it's taxed then. So it would be double taxed, which is incorrect. Make sure it is not included in your taxable income.

Will I get a rebate check if I owe federal taxes?

Answers: The last time the IRS did the rebates, my husband & I owed taxes and we are on a pymt plan. The rebate applied to the balanace we owed, which was still a payment against our debt so it was still better than nothing. We were not penalized or exempt from it because we owed them we just owed them less once it applied :-) If you owe and don't have a payment plan and you pay April 15th like normal you will get the rebate when they come out. But keep in mind the rebates are not yet official so don't get your hopes up until they start sending them out.
I assume you mean you are filing your taxes this year and owe.

If you owe less than $600 they may give you the difference, otherwise a rebate is unlikely.
The rebates won't be sent out until at least June, long after you file. You will get the rebate if you made between $3000-75,000 (individual filer) last year and up to $150,000 for joint filers. Wether you owe or are getting a refund back won't affect it.
