Stimulus Bill for dependents, too?

I'm 19, but I live at home and my Mom claims me as a dependent since she pays my tuition. I made about 17K this year and in recent times mailed contained by my taxes yesterday. The new stimulus bill have officially passed, but no resounding laws are shown anywhere. Would I achieve the 600 or would my Mom get 300?

Answers: If your parents claim you as a dependent, you will be ineligible for the rebate, but you may still benefit below the plan.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 status and income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, within 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

So if you own taxable income in 2008, you will see a toll cut when you file within 2009.
If you've made enough to wallet your taxes on your own I don't see how she can claim you as a dependent. I suspect you'll be getting the $600 for yourself rather than her getting the money per child.

I'm not a excise expert but I don't think she can claim you.

I hold no w-2 forms, will that matter or not.

Answers: She should enjoy issued W-2s for the income you received. She is not entitled to a compensation. Contact her and have her issue W-2 for respectively employee. In attachment to Federal taxes she must report state unemployment taxes, medicare, and social secuirty. Do not folder a false return.
