Taxes Questions and Answers

Can i report my florida rates returns within georgia?

I recently moved to georgia after living contained by florida in 2007. I own received my w-2's in the post and am ready to database. I was told by someone that file in georgia will cost more money due to different taxes that they recompense here..is this true? Do I have to shift back to florida to record to save money?

Answers: Georgia taxes started when you moved to GA.
If you moved after 1/1/2008, next you only involve to file a federal return as FL doesn't own an income tax.

If you moved beforehand 1/1/2008, then you entail to file a module year GA return as well.
To database a state tax return you do not hold to physically go to the state. You probably own to file a partial year return for Georgia and Florida.

Basically any money you earn while a Florida resident needs to file with a Florida return (not necessarily surrounded by Florida). I would recommend you speak with a excise accountant (not H&R Block or other franchise tax outfits, they charge to much and aren't that much help).

Why is at hand sell due?

how is that far? Who gets it, the goverment? if they do what do they spend it on?

Answers: The Federal Gov get money from Fedral Income Tax.

The State gets money from the sale tax.

The state uses the taxees to provide for university (fed only give a part), to paid for hose projects, help family in have need of, grants, and etc.
The state parliament spends money for thousands of things, most of them justified. They own to get the money somewhere. Sales due, income tax [most states], gasoline rates, and how many secret taxes [maybe all states], . If they spend, they enjoy to collect, and you have to reward.
There is a possibility the Federal government may switch to a sale tax and verbs income tax. That would be devout if they also do away with the IRS completely
clearly not on your schooling.

sales taxes are for local gov't, and for your state. and yes, they are not FAIR.

But the repukes will not touch income taxes, but fairly just thieve little bites from you in the form of sale taxes, and usage taxes, and claim they don't raise taxes because the income import tax is still untouched.

I stipulation my w2s?

my employer went out of bussiness shortly after i quit.very soon hes saying its not his responsibility to acquire me my w2s that it is his partners.all right the partners dictum the same article!!who do i contact to get a copy of my w2s?

Answers: Your employer is supposed to dispatch you your W2 by the 15th of February. You can call the IRS directly (a) 1800 829 1040. It's not that unpromising of a wait and it's probably the fastest channel to get things able. YOu can just use the information from your closing pay stub. ie; YTD profits, Fed Inc. w/held... etc.

best wishes.
You've done the right steps. The partnership is acting like a moment or two kid and pointing fingers at each other. Someone is probably the "Tax Matter Partner" and properly responsible for this, but I doubt you know which one of the 3 stooges it is.

On 2/15, call the IRS. The will transport a letter to the partnership. If you still don't enjoy a W-2 by 2/29, then you can wallet a substitute from based on your paycheck stubs.
Your employer is responsible for distributing your W-2 no issue what they say. It should of be mailed (postmarked) by January 31st. I would telephone call them one more time and notify them if they do not send you your W-2, you enjoy no choice but to turn them in to the IRS. If they doesn't work I would phone call the IRS and explain your situation, they should resolve the matter.
