Class accomplishment reward taxable?

I received a class action settlement within 2007. Is this normally a taxable item? If so is a 1099 form usually issued and sent to the receiver of these settlements?

Thanks for your help!

What was the class behaviour for?

This will dictate where on the form you report the income. (Even if you don't find a 1099-Misc, if it's anything other than compensatory damages for personal injury, it's taxable.)
No. I own been cog of three. They have never sent me a 1099. However, my settlements never go over a $100. Anything that is considered income and over $20, must be reported to the IRS.
