Question in the order of a claimed minor's paycheck?
Okay, so, I'm a 16 year old [minor obviously] who be claimed last year [2007] by my parents surrounded by Massachusetts. What I want to know is what my paycheck will amount to...I worked 14 hours this week at $8/hour, which comes out to $112 total. However, I have no perception how much is taken out in taxes within Massachusetts for a to-be-claimed minor who pays social security among other taxes that are unknown to me. Can anyone shout out an amount that make sense? Thanks!Answers: You would have $0 import tax due. You could file a 1099EZ to receive any withholding refunded. Your parents can claim your exemption regardless of this income if you lived next to them. The 1099EZ should reflect the reality that your parents are claiming your exemption.
Depends on what you put on your W-4.
Did you claim exempt? Did you claim 0 or 1?
You will have withholding for social surety and medicare, regardless.
Probably about 15% withheld altogether.
renovate you w-4 to single & 0 just to be on the out of danger side - you'll get a repayment no matter what
Can I handwrite 1099 Misc Forms?
Answers: YES! I assume that you are referring to 1099 MISC forms that you plan to issue to folks you paid to do work. You must use an approved form which I normally get directly from the IRS to give to my clients that have this situation.
Yes.
The IRS prefers typed 1099 and 1096 forms but will accept handwritten copies.
PRINT neatly. If you don't have any odd cents, leave the pennies off of the form. The input clerks have been known to miss the decimal and change $1000.00 to $100,000
