Flex Spending – dependent supervision reimbursement request?

I started my job at the finishing of November, and my flex spending started with the first pay packet cycle in January. Every two weeks I go and get $208.## taken out of the paycheck.

We pay $185/week contained by childcare for our two kids and have since salaried a little lower than $1300 this year alone! It’s expensive, but it’s actually the cheapest we could find. AND she’s awesome. We love the provider to bits.

My cross-examine is this:

I’m trying to get reimbursement and am not 100% sure what I stipulation to include. My form doesn’t ask for a receipt from the provider or her signature; it asks for the date of service, the provider charge ID, and the claim amount. It also notes that we are required to provide the christen, address and taxpayer identification number of ss# of our dependent fastidiousness provider when we file our income excise return on IRS form 2441. If we are unable to provide this, the assumption for Dependent Care FSA may be denied by the IRS.

Do I just obligation to provide the tax ID# and transport it in? Or…what?

Answers: The provider's duty id, the date of service, and the amount are sufficient.

That is all the IRS requires to cross-check next to your tax return.

How various children can you claim on your due return?

I went to H&R Block the other daytime and i was told that i could solely claim 2 of my 3 children (one of them is a stepchild) for the EItC is that true im really not getting a response on this question by the IRS so please any assistance? thanks

Answers: You can other claim all of your biological children who live near you, unless you are divorced and the divorce decree say otherwise.

RE step-children, if you are married to the mother, the two of you live together, you file a integrated return and she has the legitimate right to claim the child as a dependent, then you can claim the child on your communal return.

H&R Block is not always right, chiefly when it comes to dependencies that fall outside of the everyday "married with children."
You can claim as masses children as you have as dependents. But you don't get hold of EIC for any kids past the second one. It have nothing to do beside one of them being a stepchild.
