Taxes Questions and Answers

I miss placed my w2 forms how do i get duplicates?

Answers: Contacting your employer isn't the only way. I've used Turbo Tax for years. I use their affiliation with ADP Employer Services to fully download all of my W-2 information. Since I E-file completely paperless, I don't need to send a paper copy of my W-2 in. Same process for my state taxes. It's always a good idea to contact your employer and ask for a copy for your file but you can efile if you wish.
You need to contact your employer. They are required to give you duplicates, but they may charge you.

Should I wallet as a dependent?

Im confused wither it would be better advantage for my father to claim me or for me to claim independent on my taxes so i can find money back? Who would release or get more money?

Here are the stats:

I be a full time student with a element time job so made around 16,000

I have conservatory expenses that I have rewarded towards but he can claim them since they have help me a bit

My father is self employeed but he has 4 other children he will be claiming

so which make more sense to claim? dependent or independent?

Answers: It will probably help your father more if he claims you because I assume his income is greater.

Answers: What an employer deduct for taxes is based on the dependents you claimed on your W4.

What your reimbursement or payment is base upon is what you claim on your tax return, are you a dependent of someone? If you are not a dependent of someone you should be fine.

The exemption allowance for one personality is $3,400. plus the standard deduction is $5,350.00 for a total of $8,750.00.
Therefore beside your total income of $12,400. less speculation of $8,750- (provided you are no ones dependent) that leaves $3,650. - Tax for a single person on $3,650 is $368.00. If taxes salaried are $850.00, you should receive a refund of $482.00

Lots of if's, information not guarantee, but believed to be reliable.
When you jam-packed out your W4 you had to state how copious exemptions you were claiming. If you claimed 1 exemption you would not own as much taken out of each check as if you claimed 0 exemptions. It also depends on how much you net in a take-home pay period. If your income is exceptionally low for one pay check you may not enjoy any money kept out. The percentage which is taken out depends on your income. It increases as your income increases.
When you file your income taxes your total income is added up. Then any deduction and exemptions are subtracted from your income and the remaining amount is what you pay taxes on. The taxes you conclude up having to settle is the total due minus what you have already taken out. If the total taxes due is smaller quantity than what you have rewarded in you will achieve a refund.
I hope this help.
The percent depends on your total income, and is almost always smaller amount that 30%. If you had ample withheld to cover what you owe, you'll get any extra refund - if you didn't have adequate taken out, you'd owe.

If you are single and a dependent, your tax on income of $12,400 would be $708 - if you are single and NOT a dependent, your federal income import tax would be $368. If they withheld more than that for federal income tax, you'd grasp the overpayment refunded.
