Taxes Questions and Answers

Will my rebate be intercepted for child support? my state and federal return were.?

Answers: I am afraid the person who answered previously that your rebate would not be intercepted is mistaken.

If the IRS is garnishing your returns to address child support, you will be notified your rebate was subject to the same process.
Yes , if you are in arrears with your child support then you should not expect getting the rebate . If you do receive one then it would be best to try and help your child with some if not all .
The important thing is to be as good a father as you can be and be a part of their lives and let them know that you love them .
Good luck!

Yes it will be intercepted...even if you are paying your child support and fell behind for whatever reason if you have arrears it will be intercepted. I fell behind in Iraq while I was serving in the war and won't have a return for the next couple of years. So f---you rowlf...I don't want your sympathy.

Finding w2 when company is sketchy.?

Ok, so my mom is having trouble file her taxes because one of her former employers is withholding her w2. They said they mail it to a different address and when trying to access it online (like they said) we can't find anything from that company but bad reviews. The company is call Guardsmark if anyone has better luck than me. How does she o nearly doing her taxes without mortal audited? She has her ultimate pay stub, but this year you can't use your reimburse stubs right? This is becoming such a headache.

Answers: Technically the W-2s aren't considered late by the IRS until February 15th. If this deadline comes, and she still hasn't received the W-2, she can send for the IRS and report them. They will then issue a complaint to the employer, and hopefully they will resend the W-2. If not, you can database a substitute W-2 form (IRS form 4852), attaching it to her return as she would a regular W-2. If she does this, there may be a hindrance in her settlement as the IRS will need to verify her information.

Good luck to you both.
communicate her to call them and right to be heard if she doesn't get the w-2 in a week, she will call the IRS and report them for not mail it or mailing it tardy and they will get fined $50 per w-2 to be precise late
