Is within a support online site to do your taxes?

I don't want to pay to do my taxes. I probably hold to pay taxes anyway... where on earth is it secure to do them online?

Answers: Yes. If you made smaller amount than $54,000 you can file your federal return for free. The IRS Free File program have many partner that offer free e-filing. Turbo Tax and H & R Block are a short time ago two of the most popular.
It's fast, flowing and secure.
Your state return may cost extra but you can do them at your state's dept. of revenue/taxation for free.

Are college students claimed as dependants eligible for the levy rebate?

I'm a grad student that lives on my own, my parents claimed me as a dependant though again this year so i could stay on their insurance but i pay for pretty much everything else myself... I made give or take a few $13k last year, but I'm wondering if because im a dependant I wont gain a rebate... Here is the definition of an eligible individual... I'm not very aware with toll law, what is clause 151, is that the section where on earth they would claim me as a dependant?

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F?c1...

"ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUAL- The term `eligible individual' finances any individual other than--

`(A) any nonresident alien individual,

`(B) any individual with respect to whom a conclusion under slice 151 is allowable to another taxpayer for a taxable year beginning within the calendar year in which the individual's taxable year begin, and

`(C) an estate or trust."

Answers: According to:

Those who are claimed by their parents or guardians will not receive the rebate even if they made more than $3,000 last year. Instead your parents will receive the $300 child rebate.

"But most teens won't achieve checks because they're listed as "dependents" on their parents' or guardians' excise returns. Many teens' parents or guardians provide food and shelter for them and receive special financial benefits by stating on their yearly due forms that they have dependents to appropriate care of. According to the bill, anyone considered a dependent by another taxpayer won't receive a rebate."

I also income my way through college but need my Dad's insurance - I plan on trying to engender a deal near him this weekend!
You did not say whether or not you file your own income tax return for 2007. I would construe you must if the earnings and withholdings be reported under your social financial guarantee number.

Regardless of this though, the only human being who can receive the rebate is the person who meet the basic criteria for income and taxes rewarded. They then would receive the rebate for themselves and their spouse and $300 for respectively qualified dependent child. My recollection is that there be a stipulation that the dependent child be under age 18. I suppose the best way to ensure the $300 rebate would be for you to profile and not have your parents claim you unless unsurprisingly it is too late.
