Is at hand a trial deadline date contained by which employer are supposed to dispatch out 1099's?
I live in PA and closing year my employer did not get my 1099 to me until the ending of February. The company I work for is in California. They enjoy recently informed me they will be sending out 2007's 1099's at the ending of Feb again! This stops me from being competent to start my taxes and I am expecting a return this year. I have wondered if they be supposed to be received by the employee within the same time frame as W-4's. Does any one know and HOW do you know? Do you enjoy a link that I could present to my employer?
Thanks contained by advance.
Answers: For a 1099-MISC, the company must record with the IRS by Feb. 28th (Mar. 31 if file electronically). However, they must send a copy to the receiver (you) by January 31. See the table on page GEN-16 of http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1099gi.p...
And this is stopping you how?
As an independent contractor (you are NOT an employee if you capture a 1099-Misc), you are responsible for keeping your own records. If your paperwork are complete, just record. The IRS doesn't require you to attach the 1099-Misc unless taxes were withheld.
OR...are you axiom your records are so poor that you want to see what they right to be heard you made before you goof and contradict them on the 1040?
Is the 'tax rebate' any higher if you have dependents?
Answers: Yes, $300 per dependent, on top of the possible $600 for single filers and $1200 for married filers.
Yes - No limit on number of children.
What's going on beside the 2008 Tax Return?
Has it passed yet? I hear something yesterday about how it get vetoed but then today I hear that people should start delivery checks sometime in the summer.Answers: Yes, it passed Congress and is awaiting Bush's signature.
Under the compromise bill passed by the Congress, you would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $600 if you remunerated that much in Federal Income Tax. If you just paid $350 contained by taxes (less than the $600 rebate limit), you only go and get back $350. If you have earned income of at lowest $3000, you would get at lowest the minimum rebate of $300.
While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, surrounded by 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.
It's similar to a one time tax cut for 2008, but you take the rebate now instead of waiting to database your 2008 taxes. Because this is an advance reward on your 2008 taxes, your refund subsequent year could be more (or less!) depending on your 2008 income.
Use the calculator below to compute your rebate.
This plan you are conversation about have nothing to do beside tje 2008 Tax Returns.
The rebate is for the 2007 tax returns and is an financial stimulus plan to ignite the economy surrounded by 2008.
NOTHING to do with your 2008 TAX RETURN. The IRS doesn't even inaugurate to work on the changes to 2008 until they are done next to 2007.
