Taxes Question and Answers

Tax Return Question?

If my sister has file her return and her AGI is $30,000 Flat after all deduction and she falls in to the 25% tariff bracket... she gets a return of X dollars. If she decide to put a 1000 in an IRA and drop her bracket to 15% and her AGI to $29,000, how much more will she return with on her tax return. Please outline X + __?___ . Include calculation first. Thanks.

Answers:
I think your fundamental cross-question is whether she can save excise on all her income by contributing some to an IRA. The answer is no. If she is within the 25% bracket, that 25% rate only applies to her income above a constant level. If she is smaller quantity than $1000 into the 25% bracket, then she will hide away 25% times the amount that falls into the 25% bracket, and 15% of the remainder that falls into the 15% bracket. The tax on the amount of taxable income that remains after the IRA contribution supposition will not be affected one course or the other.

Other Answers:
im not going to do the muti. for you if shes now at
AGI 29 Im betting she will win a little more pay for...

It depends on whether she is file single, HOH, MFJ, or MFS, and itemizing or taking the standard deduction, and how various dependents she has. Assuming she's single, income roughly speaking $25k puts her out of the range for acceptance the Retirement Savings Contribution Credit.

Assuming that she's single with no dependents, after taking the standard estimate and her own exemption (totaling $8200), her taxable income is $21800 (w/o IRA) or $20800 (w/ IRA)

the tax at $21800 is $2909, import tax at $20800 is $2,759. (From the tax tables). Therefore, her return will be $150 more than if she did not make an IRA contribution.

If you have included more information, I would be able to sort a better conclusion, so this is based on a few assumptions.

What is the cost for not have W2s postmarked by the 31st.?

Answers:
a person who does not receive a w-2 is responsible to phone call the company and request a w-2. the irs normally have to get a complaint to do anything, but they don't nick complaints like that deeply seriously unless it has be a considerable amount of time. in 17 years of accounting i enjoy never seen the irs shift after anyone for sending out late w-2's

Other Answers:
Well, the companies I beleive (not a legal representative or CPA) have to correspondence it by the 31st or they risk major fines by the Government; It's the canon.

could a video winter sport system i.e. 400$ price on it hold a 30$ duty rate on it?

Answers:
yes...i think most import tax rates are close to 10% around the country

Other Answers:
Definately.
This makes no sense to me. Do you have it in mind 30 PERCENT?

Then, no. The highest excise rate I know of is 18% (in the USA), but in Europe, it's much sophisticated.
It depends on the state but anywhere that has a sale tax of more than 7.5% would be 30$
400 x .07 = 32. dollars Actually undercharged at that rate.
thats a .75 % levy rate..i guess it's not impossible, where are they taxeing you from?
at 400 bux and a 30 dollar import tax thats between 7 and 8 percent tax and yes to be precise a standard tax rate for tons us states

Is it intricate to wallet for an extension on taxes?

What information would I need?

Answers:
No, the form itself (Form 4868) is immensely simple, it just requires christen, address, SSN, and the amount you expect to owe. If you expect to owe, PAY BEFORE 4/17, otherwise interest and penalties will start to accrue. This give you an extension to file, not an extension to repay

Other Answers:
Name social security number & estimate of taxes you will owe. If you are getting a compensation you don't have to do anything. If you are going to owe you own to send a check.

huh? No there is a form on the IRS website that you can print and crowd out and mail contained by. PLEASE still file your taxes since the 17th even if you can't pay. Last year we owed for the first time BIG TIME and we file for an extension and but didn't file the taxes and we have a huge fine to pay. THey will distribute you a bill and ALWAYS respond to any letters they transport you

No its not firm all u own to do is file for an extension on string they will ask u a few questions and convey u an e-mail confirming the extension

I haven't file taxes since 1989..because I'm out of the country. What should I do?

Answers:
I hope you didn't have plenty income each year to bring in it required for you to file taxes. The U.S. taxes adjectives the income of its citizens whether it's made within the U.S. or within other countries.

A certain amount of foreign income is exempt per year (last I hear it was $70,000) if you qualify but you own to file respectively year to claim that exemption.

Since overseas companies don't report income to the IRS, the IRS probably won't catch you if you and nobody else say anything, but if you ever get a divorce and your wife requirements to really get even beside you or get you thrown surrounded by jail for some sense, look out!

If I were you, I wouldn't mention this discrepancy to anyone (unless you homily to a CPA under an assumed signature just to find out for sure). CPA's don't own the right not to testify against their clients like attorneys do. :-}

Other Answers:
Contact a import tax specialist
talk to ur accountant
Perhaps you should want political asylum in some friendly foreign country.
Sounds close to you should stay out of the country.
You could be in trouble.
Well, if you are still a citizen and are working overseas, you still inevitability to file your taxes because you want to pay according to establishment reasoning. Get a good attorney and and even better accountant. You'll need one because eventually the political affairs will bust you for it. Good luck to you.
You most certainly should consult a qualified US levy advisor and not bury your head surrounded by the sand any longer. You may owe the government nil, you may owe a lot, but you will know how to plan intelligently once you know the extent of your exposure. Your advisor is not required (and generally is not even allowed) to describe the IRS anything about you or your situation until you are equipped to come forward.

when you start your own buisness and you start making money how do you compensate taxes on that money?

Answers:
Depending upon how much money you are making (actually, the amount per period of time) you customarily pay quarterly estimated taxes. The IRS website have the Estimated Tax payment forms, you also call for the instructions on how to fill out the form and where on earth to make the expense.

April 17 is the next earnings date.

If you are not making more than say, $4,000 per year, you can a short time ago claim the amount on your annual income tax return, and product any necessary giving then.

Remember, contained by your home-based business, you also have expenses. Your income that you pay envelope tax on is solely the profit that the business makes (income - expenses = profit)

Other Answers:
same as u do for boring personal income except that you deduct the business expenses from the income first

Get a good accountant who will consent to you know when to pay and how much. Don't mess next to the IRS. You have to report and pay taxes including social warranty taxes. if you have a business and don't know anything going on for all the taxes you own to pay, please consult a duty advisor

If you're making satisfactory money at it d you have to compensate quarterly estimated taxes. If you dont pay estimated taxes you may be underneath withholding and you would be subject to penalties and interest at the run out of the year. I would echo the other answers surrounded by saying you stipulation an accountant.

What will evolve to my business if I do not reimburse my taxes on April 30th?

Canada Customs and Revenue said they may have to hold me to collection. What does that mean?

Answers:
Is this a serious quiz?? Come on man....you know that you have to rate your taxes, especially if you are self-employed. Ignorance is not an excuse that will work in a court of directive.....

You really need to know what you are getting into formerly running out and starting a business....really.....

Other Answers:
My advice is this. Whatever it take to pay them sour, short of taking an advance on your credit card at 30% interest rate, do it.

If you owe them money, and the amount is not beneath contention, then they will gain the money no matter how much agony and suffering or embarassment they cause you. It would be much easier to at lowest possible pay them on your lingo.

Do not under any circumstances avoid communications beside them, that will only put together matters worse, MUCH worse. Explain you situation, spawn arrangements to borrow the money to pay them, explain to them that this is what you are doing, and DO IT. Then you hold the matter of paying stale the loan, but at least it will be from an establishment that expects you to pay if sour over time.

In future, set aside at lowest possible 10% of your income in a hill account to steal care of these surprises. You will achieve no sympathy from Canada Customs and Revenue if it happens again.

Best of luck.

What is the point of file for a excise extension if you enjoy to pay cheque anyway?

Answers:
umm

Other Answers:
You avoid a late file if you owe taxes. Also if you are required to file the long form (1040) and you do not hold
the time. It is much easier to file a 1 page document than
5 - 7.

The bottom dash is that it buys you additional time to database the paper work.
If you OWE -- next you avoid any $$ penalty for deferred filing, as economically as the interest. So send them what you rewarded last year as a sign of worthy faith.
Actually any way you will hold to pay interest if you do not earnings the full amount of tax due near the extension. However you can avoid the penalty for dud to file prompt by extenting.
it just allows you to more time to profile your return.

When are taxes due?

Answers:
Tax returns for individuals must be postmarked by April 17 this year. An extension is only an extension of time to FILE, not PAY; taxes are due by April 17 or you may be subject to belated payment penalty.

Other Answers:
April 17, 2006
April 17th this next Monday although you can folder for an extension.
April 15, 2006
Unless you file for an extension, April 17 (the first business light of day after the 15th).
Normally they are due on April 15. But this year April 15 is on a Saturday, so they are due the next business daytime which is April 17 this year. Unless you live in Massachusetts. 4/17/06 is Patriots Day within Massachusetts, an official state holiday. So Massachusetts residents' federal income taxes are due on or until that time Tuesday 4/18/06/

Is it high-status to consider income taxes contained by preparing projected statements?

Managerial Finance ProForma Statements/Sales Forecasting

Answers:
Of course it is. IF profit exists quarterly, taxes must be paid quarterly. IF you own employees, SS wages must be remunerated whenever an amount exceeding 500.00 is due. IF filings and payments are not made, serious penalties and interest will be levy by the government agencies involved...federal, state, and repeatedly local. Sales taxes must be paid quarterly, on the dot. Otherwise, more fines will be levied.

Can I database for an extension contained by the state of Alabama for "paying" my 2005 state taxes?

If anyone knows the answer to this would you agree to me know where to find the info on this. I enjoy been researching it and not have any luck. I owe state taxes this year and my family have had deeply of hardship due to condition problems, so I don't have the money to rate right now. I hope in that is an extension available for state tax payments.

Answers:
You can grasp an extension on filing, but not for paying. I suggest file your paperwork and calling to set up payment arrangements. Here are a couple of links that may support.

Other Answers:
You will need to set up a donation plan with the state. There should be a number on the final of the insruction booklet to call beside questions... they will agree to you know how to go going on for it. If you can't find it... call you Department of Revenue

Yes, but you'll have to contact the AL Dept. of Revenue surrounded by Montgomery.
Alabama State - Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Department, Commissioner, Secretary of Department
50 North Ripley Street, Montgomery, AL 36130
(334) 242-1175 Yes you can file an extension but NOT to avoid paying right in a minute. The law states that if you profile an extension you must pay the amount you owe in a minute. This is so you can actually database your paper work following, and then if you find you owe smaller number later, they wlil compensation you. But you must give them anything you owe them right now next to your extension.

Look in your charge booklet there is usually a form contained by there for file the extension.
