what should i do near my toll check?

you see i filed my duty check and get the federal division back what should i do next to it?

any suggestion is fine

Answers:
It really depends on your overall financial position. Since you've posted the question, you probably are pretty average (ie, not incredibly rich and financially savvy). You most promising have some debt outstanding. People will suggest that you invest, but it would be much better to put it toward a 7% saloon loan than put it in a 4% compact disc.

Of course, depending on how much it is, it may be best to go spend it on something fun for yourself. We get $3600 back: spent $400 on some shopping and a darkness out, put $1000 in a disc, and used the rest to pay sour a loan.

Other Answers:
Buy stuff!

Send it to me. Still call for some Katrina clean-up money... Bank it and save it for an emergency or a great public sale.

Endorse it and dispatch it to me. I'll find a use for it!

< Invest it in a mutual fund, do alike thing every year, you will build a nice nest egg!

Invest it intelligently for your future! wages off some bills and guard whats left

Put it in an IRA. You will get hold of a tax presumption for 2006 and you will be saving money for your retirement. The longer the money sits within the account the more interest it will draw.

< Put it within the bank and craft sure that you never give the organization another interest-free loan. They can spend whatever they want next to no accountability. Make sure you never overpay taxes.

what are the pros and cons of a flat export tax or consumption excise?

Answers:
The problem with any tariff change is you usually don't obtain what the congress says you are going to attain. The system usually ends up more complicated and everyone pays more.

Other Answers:
consumption tax is plausible to discourage spending which would be bad for the cutback. consumption tax doesn't enjoy very frequent "pros". I think a flat toll is a much better idea, however, the establishment would prefer to reserve the right to increase taxes on the rich or give toll breaks for marriage or a home purchase.
The pros of such a toll are obvious: everybody would discharge the same rate and any change to the tax rate would be feel and responded to immediatly by the tax paying public. The cons are also adjectives as preferential tax treatment (loopholes, mortgage and child deduction, poverty status, payouts to fat political donors) would be eliminate largely preventing congress from bribing voting or donor blocs to assist their reelection. The tax code is the most powerfull force of influence within Washington D.C. which is why both parties largely argue with a flat tax.
Pros: you are singular taxed on what you spend so essentially you are surrounded by control of how much tax you pay packet.

Cons:If a "consumption tax" was put contained by place then adjectives other taxes (real estate, etc.) would be gone. That means that the cost of everything would shift up (to cover taxes). This would be okay for everyone who is working but what about retired population with fixed incomes.

In Which State to File Taxes?

For most of 2005, I lived in Pennsylvania, and earn income. Later, I moved to NJ that same year, but didn't earn any income. My W-2 is from PA. I've already filed federal taxes, but for what state should I record my state taxes? I've applied for an extension, but I'm confused as to whether I should file NJ or PA taxes. Any suggestion?

Answers:
You actually should directory in both states. In PA, you should profile a part-year return, and the same within NJ. All of your income should be reported as PA income, but you may have deduction in NJ that could create a loss to use latter.

Other Answers:
You file state taxes within the state you worked

I agree near the previous answer.
