this is an accounting cross-question?? how come so different on monthly salary/annual income on social wellbeing export tax?

this is a accounting question on W2, how come in attendance is sooo much difference in amount from social warranty tax/ca sdi on a monthly salary compared to an annual take-home pay when they both have like peas in a pod salary at the ruin of the year?? and is this discrepancy refunded or credited on the W2 form? any accountants own an answer??

Answers:
There is no refund of Soc Sec Tax unless you alteration jobs and exceed the dollar limitations. Tax withholding should be duplicate at the end of the year IF adjectives things are equal, such as pensions, form insurance etc. The Soc. Sec. plus Medicare rate is 7.65% for the employee and 7.65% for the employer. California have other issues as well.
If this doesn't relieve, be more specific in your cross-question.

Other Answers:
the only common sense for a difference between monthly versus annual salary would be the reason on which they're computed - working on an annual salary, an employer would own tables base on working for the netire year, while on a monthly salary, table would be based on the income generate that month. The only soc. sec. discount would be if the total tax compensated (if working for more than one employer during a year) exceeded the social security trilby.

GST is a smaller amount regressive excise than oodles guess. Address the authority of this statement.?

Answers:
Depends on what you mean by regressive vs progressive. It adjectives depends on the denominator you use. Most people would use a person's income as the denominator - hence, indirect consumption taxes such as the GST are by definition regressive. Ozzie makes a biddable point in that taxes shouldn't be assessed by themselves to determine regresssivity. They should be assessed within light of their place contained by the whole import tax system, and the welfare system.

In my opinion, they should put the GST stern on food and every other GST-free item. The main basis for putting GST on food is that for every $3 the Government forgoes in revenue for have GST-free, middle to high affluence people benefit by $2, while low income folks merely benefit $1.

So rich people benefit track more from the zero-rating of food. They can use the extra revenue to better target income tax cuts and welfare payments.

Other Answers:
It is a progressive rates in that it broadens the toll base while allowing personal income charge to be reduced.
It sounds like you requirement to do a little bit more reading for your assignment.
Depends on whether you are evaluating the system or answering an assignment.
It is totally regressive because adjectives of the other taxes that were supposed to be abolish are still there.
The exception is sale tax which used to be 2 1/2% on wholesale and is immediately 10% on retail. How regressive is that. Other items with greater sales excise rates such as cars had the charge removed and a new export tax by another name introduced.

How can I remove interest and penalty from support taxes I owe the irs?

Answers:
If you owe interest, you'll be out of luck, it can't generally be waive. However, there is a process where on earth you can request that the IRS waive the penalties if you hold a legitimate foundation for why you didn't pay your taxes prompt.

Other Answers:
I don't think you can remove interest and/or penalty from IRS... you will have to take-home pay any pennie you owe to them...
You could theaten to take them to court and settle for smaller quantity. You would be suing for undo misery. If the intrest and penalties are superior than a bank loan, you could grasp a bank loan and earnings off the IRS that style. It would be like refinancing property.
It's intricate to negotiate with the IRS. Best to only just get a home equity loan and pay envelope them off so you don't hear from them again. Maybe if they hear that you will be paying them rear legs lump sum, they'll give you a break. I did that next to a student loan once when I forgot to change my address and be late.
For interest: you must demonstrate that you experienced an unreasonable bottleneck that was the IRS's show disapproval. Except for a few cases where the IRS certainly lost our papers, I've not seen this start much. (I guess the IRS thinks most delay are reasonable.)

For penalty: it is basically a restrained cause standard. If you be unable to wage your taxes in full at the time they be due, even though you were using temperate care, next the IRS will give nouns on penalties, despite what most relatives think. If something bleak was arranged (you were seriously off-colour, your records be damaged within a flood or fire, etc.) when the taxes were due, you should enjoy a pretty good shot. If it be the first time you were required to retribution a tax and directory a new type of return, it may be a slam-dunk. Even of late financial hardship can be a pious enough point, though it's definitely not the strongest one around.

Lots of clients want to achieve their penalties and interest reduced BEFORE they get a deal next to the IRS. That's not going to happen. You want to make sure you're paying your current taxes and file your current returns when they come due (never mind past stuff for right now) formerly you can get any favors. You should also any enter a repayment agreement before requesting P/I nouns or discuss the possibility with your IRS contact at indistinguishable time you're making a deal near them. (Sometimes, the IRS will offer P/I nouns as an incentive to make a repayment agreement.)

Requests can usually be made in words, if you are dealing with a Revenue Officer (local IRS creature assigned to hassle you into repaying). Otherwise, you'll probably be expected to submit an IRS Form 843 (available at www.irs.gov). Letters work, too, but they have to be so specific that it's tough for most population to do correctly. If you are claiming a reasonable grounds to justify a cost abatement, be prepared to provide documentation to prove your story.

Get an attorney, without one, you will enjoy to pay penalty and other fees for taxes owed. So, you can either pay envelope an attorney, or the IRS. Sometimes, if the attorney is good, you'll certainly pay smaller number!

i have hear that about 40 percent of our fuel cost is contained by taxes. i don't see any one volenteering to reduct their tax untill this problem is solved.

We adjectives know that we're paying excessive taxes on fuel, supposedly, the tax money go to road repairs, but I don't see it, do you? Unfortunately, we can't voluntarily not pay our taxes until the problem is resolved. Any other philosophy?

Now you can see why the local/federal government aren't doing much to address the soaring prices. The better it goes, the more they collect.

Actually, Americans pay a much lower rate of taxes on fuel than populace in most developed countries. That's why gas is give or take a few twice as expensive in most parts of Europe -- and an added reason we Americans seem to be like spoiled, complaining babies to the rest of the world.

In this covering, you delivered it to Delaware, so the charge charged should be the Delaware rate (including any local tax too)
