The rationale that prices commonly end surrounded by 99 cents is known as curious cent pricing, it is a psychological marketing technique which makes an item appear smaller quantity expensive when in authenticity it is only 1 cent smaller amount then an even dollar amount.

It is to force the cashier to expand the register to prevent theft. 2ndly, make the prices look cheaper.
JCattin is right. The .99 pricing ploy has nohing to do near taxes. It is simply a marketing strategy that takes power of the psychology of the buyer. By having the number to the disappeared of the decimal be one less than it would otherwise (9.99 instead of 10.00) the buyer perceives the cost to be much smaller number than the actual 1 cent.

Are bank allowed to cart money out of your charge return if you owe them?

I owe several banks money which is olden due. I have a rates refund coming. I be just wondering be a bank allowed to filch money out your tax return because I be told that it was a possibility

Answers:
Yes they do, but solitary if the funds are deposited into an account at one of those institutions.

Other Answers:
No solitary if you sign a paper permit them too.
Your tax return is safe and sound unless you owe the government (federal or state) money, and next only after the paperwork have been file to the IRS to hold your refund and payback your debt. Banks don't enjoy the authority to take your rates refund.
A simple solution is do not do direct deposit, it may bear a couple weeks longer, but at least you acquire your money instead of the bank.

How much does the federal senate steal out of our paychecks for income charge?

Answers:
Collectively, for 2005, the federal government collected
the following:

Individual Income Taxes: 927.222 (billion)
Corporate Income Taxes: 278.282 (billion)
Social Security: 794.125 (billion)
Excise Taxes: 73.094 (billion)
Other: 81.136 (billion)

See page 31 of mention #1

Individually, federal income taxes are based on
the following table:

Filing single
-------------

Up to $7300: 10%
Up to $29700: $730 + 15% of anything over $7300
Up to $71950: $4090 + 25% of anything over $29700
Up to $150150: $14652 + 28% of anything over $71950
Up to $326450: $36548 + 33% of anything over $150150
Above $326450: $94727 + 35% of anything over $326450

Filing joint:
-------------

Up to $14600: 10%
Up to $59400: $1460 + 15% of anything over $14600
Up to $119950: $8180 + 25% of anything over $59400
Up to $182800: $23317 + 28% of anything over $119950
Up to $326450: $40915 + 33% of anything over $182800
Above $326450: $88320 + 35% of anything over $326450

So, for example, if you are single and be paid $40000,
you would fit into the "Up to $71950" category and
your calculation would be:

$4090 + 25% of (40000-29700)
$4090 + 0.25 * (10300)
$4090 + $2575
$6665

A pale jacket can fly 4.5 meters surrounded by 9sec..how swiftly surrounded by kilometers per hour can a pallid jacket fly?

Answers:
1800

Other Answers:
actually, I guess its... (corrected)

4.5m/9s = 0.0045 km/0.0025 hr = 1.8 km/hr

I don't think a pallid jacket can fly 1800 km/hr -- that's like a in haste jet (1080 mph)

I corrected mine-- "student" be right. I didn't convert seconds to hours correctly.
4.5x3600/9x1000 =1.8km/h
or 4.5m within 9 sec = 4.5/9 = 0.5m/s
this in km/h = 0.5x60x60/1000=1.8km/h
1hour =60x60 secs
1Km = 1000m

a matter park sell 71,175 yard of licorice respectively year.home various foot per daylight does the park get rid of?

Answers:
65, because there are 3 foot in 1 courtyard so you would divide 71,175 by three that gives 23275 and later you divide that number by 365, assuming the park is open year round, and that the finicky year was not a leap year.

Other Answers:
how plentiful feet surrounded by a yard? 3 right? so 365 days a year right? so the equation is 71,175 divided by 3 divided by 365 YES SEE BELOW...my impossible...divide!! lol
23,725
Source(s):
Divide
I think its 585

you call for to find out how many foot so it would be 71175*3=213,525 feet per year. to find out how plentiful a day
do 213,525 divided by 365 to return with the 585
585 feet per daylight
b/c there are 3 ft/yd
and 365 days/year
Source(s):
my brain
Well it is correct that you must multiply the number of yard by 3 to get your number into foot. However, you really can't continue the equation minus assuming the number of days the park is open. Under the assumption the park is widen 365 days a year your average feet per year would be 585 unless it's leap year and open 366 days, consequently you would have 583.4 ft. per daytime. However, this assumption is most likely incorrect, especially depending on the geographic location of the park, as ably as to account for holidays that they might be closed, or inclement weather. The one and only solid answer for this question would be to verbs that there is not ample information to derive your answer.

You do not need to slap into your IRA just to acquire a mentor coach to get your business going. Getting a mentor is not one of the reason where you catch off the cost clause of the IRA.

I suggest you go to the following places, adjectives of which offer their services for free

SCORE http://www.ranking.org - this is a group of volunteers mostly retired business professionals and entrepreneurs with years of experience surrounded by doing business. They can give you free mentoring as you start your business. I hold tried them and they are excellent. Lots of great ideas and newly to be able to parley to someone about your concept is great.

Your local Small business development center = progress to your favorite search engine and scour for "[your state] SBDC"

If you are a woman, you can also go to your local Women's Business Center. Here is a PDF directory of state-by-state locations of these centers http://www.onlinewbc.gov/wbc.pdf
