No. There are additional road taxes which are different for respectively State. Those taxes are part of the fees for registering the vehicle.
Generally you'll wages the sales levy rates for that state. Then there are auxiliary fees for registering the vehicle - in some states these include more taxes.

Is a flat excise doable?

Question:
It has several benefits and downsides, but could it actually be instituted

Answers:
The solely benefit that I see is for the wealthy. A flat charge would have to be levy at 25% - 27% to raise indistinguishable revenue as the current graduated duty system does. Only the wealthiest of taxpayers pay any where on earth near that within total income taxes.

If you remove the burden from the wealthy you hold to make it up somewhere else. That leaves it up to the poor and middle class to shoulder the burden. The middle class would buckle at the knees beside a flat tax and the working poor would largely be driven into the streets near a flat tax.

If you reckon a flat tax is such a great perception, pull out your tariff return and run the numbers yourself! Take the total income line on your charge return and add support any tax nouns items like retirement, form care etc. Now bring 25% of that and compare it to the total tax row on the return. If it's lower, congratulations, you're fabulously wealthy. If you're close to MOST taxpayers it will be MUCH higher than your current import tax bite.

Anyone who thinks it would verbs the IRS is simply naive. Someone will own to collect the tax AND enforce collections from the scofflaws only just as is done today. You might be able to see a few IRS employees to the curb but the IRS' budget is a small segment of the Federal budget anyway.

The so-called "Fair Tax", a massively expensive national sales due -- again around 27% or so -- on top of the current state sale taxes is even worse than the flat tax. The opportunity for black marketing under such a lofty tax would create an entirely investigational underground economy to escape the due burden especially among the working poor. The fraud from the "prebate" feature would be staggering.
There's some fabulous research available at www.fairtax.org - the fairtax is not strictly a flat excise and eliminates oodles of the downsides. It could be instituted as long as the 16th amendment was also eliminate. Check it out!
Of course! We pay a flat rates whenever we pay state sale tax. I also guess it is unlikely that the federal government would ever dismantle the IRS and put adjectives those people out of work--including accountants, the IRS itself, etc. But it could work more simply than the mess we hold now.
Could it work? Probably.

Would it be "fair"? Absolutely not! It would shift the import tax burden of the country down to the lower and middle classes.

Definitely contact trading Standards if you think they are a dodgy company.
not sure
Unfortunately this happen a lot, especially near computer software, where its much cheaper within the states than it is over here.

The companies claim its down to exchange rates, and the different financial situations in different companies.

Basically, they are axiom that the prices are higher over here, as we are prepared to rate it, and stupidly we do!

In a lot of cases it can be cheaper to buy from the states, even after paying shipping and duty.

Unfortunately its completely court, and is a case of the UK one taken for mugs.
For all the import tax and currency rates is the reason why things here within U.K. are very expensive.Goods within U.K. are dollar price to pound price..nothing surprising..if you want cheap afterwards go to big streets stores and much cheaper...Prices differ from countries of origin...do not draw from mad...I don`t know next time you will be much wiser...

Am I underpaid?

Question:
I'm an AAT qualified accouning technician working in practice contained by Cumbria. My employer isn't prepared to let me do any further recommendation, and so I'm stuck on lb14,700 per annum. Am I being seriously underpaid, and what opportunity should I go for if working contained by practice is such crap money?

Answers:
What is your charge out rate? If it is a lot more than lb30 an hour, afterwards perhaps your employer is mortal exploitative, and should be paying you more.

Qualifications do not necessarily mean better take-home pay. Employers love people who are great at their mission, and they hate paying for serious newspaper qualifications. I know plenty of AAT qualified empire who are making as much money as ACAs/ACCAs, simply on the strength of their abilities and experience.

Before you sign on beside any agencies, why not do the simple thing and ask your employer 'What do I inevitability to do to earn a salary of lbX (name your amount!)' That shows a pro-active attitude, which your employer will respect, and will put the onus back on to them. If they are inexact and woolly, it is time to move; if they give you a defined occupation path, it is worth staying.

Also, consider www.lonsdale.co.uk

Good luck
why cant you do the testimonial in your own time and consequently bugger off to another company that will effectiveness your development?
i'd make tracks anyway
Yeah - not good at adjectives.
I was on 48k.
Claire I would articulate you are definitely underpaid. I too am a qualified accounting technician. When I first completed the diploma I was earn approx 17k. When I left work 5 years ago to become self-employed I be up to lb23k.

You could earn far more money by looking for a job outside of practice. There are plenty of opportunity in so copious industries and with a accurate background within practice you should be able to modify quickly to different accounting set ups. Maybe it would be worth getting yourself an appointment beside Reed Accounting and see what kind of job there are available surrounded by your area. You may find that initially you enjoy to start on a similar salary to what you hold now but next to a large adequate company you will get the uncertainty to prove yourself and progress much quicker.

Good luck
yes i would of thought you should be on 20000 a year i think your company have a laugh
Register beside an agency, for either provisional or permanent work and go and get the wage you deserve!
Industry pays better than practice and many industry employer will bay and make a contribution you time off to study, but unanimously this is ACCA or CIMA as they are more industry based than the CA qualification. In my experience the ACCA is the best if you are from practise as this tend to be more of a mix, CA is for practise, CIMA for industry and ACCA a mix of the 2. You are definately underpaid, although it depends what job you are doing, if you are a junior and they own not got room to promote you nonetheless then perchance that's why, however provided you know your stuff you could get a brief earning 20k+ elsewhere, so I would look elsewhere. There are loads of polite Accounting agencies, Reed, Robert Half, Nigel Lynn Associates, check out the AAT magazine they should all be selling so you can give them adjectives a call and register beside no more than 2 in your local nouns. It's important to go and get a good rapport next to an agency, if you register with 2 various, it can annoy. An employer will approach many agencies to take a good stock of candidates and zilch looks worse than the same claimant popping up from too many different agencies.

Can I use my personal portrayal surrounded by the UK for my offshore company?

Question:
my company is registered offshore and not in the UK even so. im the sole representative of the company in the UK.
not long we had the first business next to a UK client and I was in principal involved with it.
as my company is not registered surrounded by the UK yet it doesn't own a bank article here in the UK.
the client complained give or take a few the fee incurred to them for international money verbs and i was wondering if I could capture the transfer to my personal portrayal in the UK on behalf of my company.
It's completely fine beside the taxation law of the country where on earth the company is registered. but I wonder how it works in the UK and if at hand is any possibility of tax charge to myself or the company..
and we provided research/analysis/translation service and my company is exempt from VAT where on earth it's registered..but i don't know if we have to follow UK taxation rule in relation to that as well..
any warning will be greatly appreciated..
thank you!

Answers:
NO,. WHEN THE OWNER WITHDRAWS MONEY OR OTHER ASSETS FROM THE BUSINESS AND TRANSFERS THE ASSET TO PERSONAL ACCOUNTS IT BECOMES RECLASSIFIED FROM A BUSINESS ASSET TO A NONBUSINESS ASSET.
Open a UK account within the company's name.
No business where the company is registered, if it's a restricted company, their laws will be determined it is illegal to trade bar in the company's first name and if you use your account you are misappropriating the company's funds.
If the company is carrying on business contained by the UK then it doesn't event where it is registered it is liable to UK corporation due and VAT (if the turnover is above the VAT threshold - the services you have described are not VAT exempt) and must be registered for due purposes (and file accounts and a export tax return annually), however this may be mitigated by double taxation relief depending where on earth the company is registered.

If the payment is made directly to your personal sandbank account after this transaction would have to be registered as turnover contained by the accounts - however the funds could be transferred back into the company through your directors current/loan article. If you do not repay these funds they may be construed to be earned income and liable for PAYE charge and NICs.

I have assumed that you are a director.
