Why don't we only enjoy a 15% income levy across the stop beside no exemptions?

Question:
SORRY - To all those who are so privilaged, they live bad the fat of the territory. Think of it as bad for the heart.

Answers:
Hi Linda Ann. We adjectives know about the authoritarian nature of the income tariff system and we all resent Uncle Sam sticking his foot into our pockets. There are two bills in congress-H-25 and S-25, these are the Fair Tax bills. When passed, they would stamp out the federal income tax and replace it near a national sales levy on NEW items. Please go to fairtax.org and read around it. The simple fact is that within is no "flat tax" bill in congress, but the unbiased tax is far more equitable. Virtually every county surrounded by the country has a unbiased tax group and fairtax.org will facilitate you find one close. We need adjectives the support we can find to get this passed. Ken
I preference we did too! But...it would put a lot of empire out of business. Mainly CPA's that do taxes.
I don't know, I'm a Republican.
It would be tough to get it for it requirements a super-majority.(75%for)

The Case Against the Flat Tax by Murray Rothbard ..
http://www.mises.org/rothbard/flattax.pd...

To return now to the flat export tax: the seductive rhetoric invoking the “special interests” has organize most people to believe that everyone will benefit from the flat import tax except a few wicked corporations or multi-millionaires.
Nothing could be further from the truth. If the flat tariff is enacted, millions of us will find out, too belatedly and to our chagrin, that, to paraphrase Pogo:
“We hold met the special interests and they are us.” Or as Senator Robert Dole (R-KS) put it recently on the issue of the flat export tax as an allegedly fair export tax:
“Everybody believes in fairness unless they’re involved.”
Great cross-examine. All the accountants and tax lawyer would probably kill themselves.
Privileged folks who live of the fat of the stop would love that idea! The concept is called a flat duty, Steve Forbes ran for president advocate it and lost.

Also, the majority of CPAs work comes from performing financial audits and to think that CPAs and due attorney as a whole own enough clout to hold on to a complex tax system contained by place is stupid.
Because the current tax system within the US allows congress to tinker with it, so that they can relief friends, penalize enemies, steer money vertebrae to their constituents, and do a bit of social engineering. For example, if congress wants to gladden more home ownership, they can make more of a home-owner's mortgage payments deductable. If they want to discourage owning big gas guzzling cars, they can affix a luxury tax to cars weigh more than 5,000 lbs or getting under 20 mpg.
Mainly because it would really put the burden on the middle and lower classes (ie the frozen working people). The rich and upper class wouldn't be paying their share of the taxes. Look at it this way for someone making 12,000 a year their charge would be 2300 $ which means they'd solely have 9700$ to live on. While a character making 100,000$ would pay single 15,000$ and the gap between rich and poor would make wider as big as the grand canyon. The entity making the little amount above would have to work 2 job just to possibly craft ends meet (that is if they enjoy no children).
This is a great question, but I don't suspect we'll ever agree on an answer. Some quality that a flat tax would impose an ever increasing gap between the poor and the rich... that it would inflict even greater suffering for those who struggle just to live.

On the other mitt, some feel that a scale tax system penalize the better earners for their hard work. Further, several believe that there are too several exemptions to get the rich rotten the hook for supporting the needs of the senate which provides them with the services they want.

Personally, I would favor scrapping the income levy system altogether in favor of a scale sales duty system, where mandatory items (e.g. food, clothes, transportation) get taxed the tiniest, discretionary items (e.g. entertainment, travel) gets tax more, and luxury items (e.g. high-cost, low-volume goods, such as sports cars, high-end jewelry, lavish houses) are tax the most.

This would make sure that we remuneration taxes proportionally to our ability to clear taxes, and would not let anybody sour the hook through offshoring business, or executing illegal, underground transactions that never appear on income duty forms anyway.
Well, 15% wouldn't provide nearly as much money as the current tax system. It would hold to be a lot more than that to verbs current government services.

Our current system is progressive, which way that people near lower incomes pay little or zilch (or with EIC, certainly get put money on some money they didn't pay in), and as your income rises, so does your charge rate. Your question imply that you think the flat 15% rate would hit the luxurious hardest - you've got that backwards. Over 96% of federal income taxes are rewarded by the top 50% or earners, about 2/3 is rewarded by the top 10%, and well over partially of the income tax collected is salaried by the top 5% of earners. Your proposal would give these populace a huge break, and hit the middle class and the poor hard - is that really what you are proposing?

Are nearby abuses? Sure. Not of late at the top with insolent tax shelters - but an awful lot much lower down near people working "below the table" - that wouldn't be touched with a flat due rate.

Is the current system too complex? Well, that's hard to argue against - it clearly is.
I agree with you!
We should hold NO deductions and everyone should clear their own taxes, not combined spousal income.
No exemptions for clergy...they work!
AND here's the kicker in my faultless little world.those on disability should pay 15% too, because i.e. their JOB!

The only income I wouldn't import tax is Social Security RETIREMENT benifits, because you would have already compensated on that, and intrest on traditional savings accounts, as insentive for reserves.

Unfortunatly our country is run buy the corporations who feed us poison and deny us vigour care so we are only just screwed.

Do I enjoy to payment taxes?

Question:
I heredited some money do I have to discharge taxes?

Answers:
In some states in the U.S. (not adjectives states), a tax is imposed on those who inherit assets from a departed person. This is different from the federal Estate Tax, which is rewarded by the estate.

The rate for inheritance taxes payable by the benficiary depends on the value of the property received by the descendant or beneficiary and his/her relationship to the deceased.
Some times depending on the state you live surrounded by. I know states like Wyoming do not an hold inheritance tax.

If you dance online and even go to Wikipedia and look up the taxes for your selective state it will tell you roughly speaking inheritance or estate taxes.
No...however, depending on the size of the decedents estate (how much money the dead personage had at the time of death) might propose that the estate had to reward taxes...but you...NO

Is income earn by a Chapter S corporation tax, if it is not remunerated out to stockholders and stays within the sandbank

Question:
We have made money and enjoy it in the hill through our Chapter S Corp. If we don't pay it out to any shareholders this year, is here any tax liability, or can it only sit in the information "untaxed" until it is paid out?

Answers:
The income, losses, means gains, piece 4797, section 179 depreciation, charitable contributions, etc.; contained by short the activity for the s-corp for the year get reported at year end on K-1's to the shareholders, whether any "cash" is salaried out or not. The shareholders are then required to report the K-1 information on their 1040 return. You don't hold a choice about reporting the s-corp buzz or not, it's required. I have attached irs information in connection with s corps.
My understanding of an S Corp is it is tax at the individual's income tax rate purely as if it was compensated to you personally. Expenses to the S corp off-set the liability. Tax directive does not recognize money "sitting" - it is adjectives taxable unless you have an expense that leaves no profit.
The profit is tax in the year it is earn, not distributed. Regardless of the distributions made, the shareholders pay taxes on their proportionate share (based on ownership) of the company's profit.
The pro-rated profit for respectively shareholder is reflected on a Schedule K-1. This is equivalent to a W-2 or a 1099 for an S-Corp. The income is reported on the individual's return, whether distributions be given or not.

Can New York apply California export tax on items I buy?

Question:
I recently purchased a few handbags from a store contained by New York... is there really California import tax applied when I buy things from a state outside of California? I've purchased things before on internet stores and ebay where on earth the item was shipped from outside of California and here was no rates. I'm confused, help please! And yes this does clear a difference because tax be like $40.

Thanks!
Jennifer

Answers:
Yes, if the items are self shipped to California absolutey...Point of delivery is where on earth the tax would be charged...If you be in NY and you bought the lots off the shelf..after you would be charged nyc tax.
A lot of states realize that they were loosing due revenue and have tightened up on this. As a rule - if the store have a location in your state but ships from their store surrounded by another state - you get charge your home state tariff. The company is bound by law to charge the duty.
Yes, sales due is by your home state's system, especially if it was communication order. When you buy from out-of-state and aren't charged export tax, you are supposed to keep track and foot the sales tariff with your state income levy at the end of the year--though nobody really does.
In a retail establishment (an actual store) the singular taxes applied should be the appropriate local and state taxes. In other words, a store in New York City can charge NYC rates and New York State tax but it have no authority to charge any California taxes. When you order by phone, communication or internet you may be charged other taxes depending on your location and the location of the business you are dealing with.

Who think it not neutral that the policy take taxes out of our scarily and they take home us pay cheque extra?

Question:
my dad told me the oter day that they rob taxes out of your scaery then i be tining that its not fair that thay also clear us pay taxes on stuuf similar to clithes and the taxes at the end of the year P.S sorry for the missspellings i am simply 12

Answers:
Well here is the thing going on for taxes. They pay for our roads, our emergency services, school.. Lots and lots of things you probably take for granted. We completely need to take-home pay taxes because individually we couldn't afford to pay for this. you approaching to ride bikes? You need roads and side walk. you want someone to help you if you receive hurt? you need hospitals. You want to be past the worst at night? you obligation police. You want to go to college? You need school. These things are paid for next to taxes.

Now they take taxes out of salary checks, this is true, it's called income due, but the government also spreads taxes over closely of things, but generally solely take a small amount of respectively. Your father can have an issue beside the amount of taxes taken out of this or that, but you should really consider that the things you like and depend on necessitate to be paid for from somewhere and that taxes are a extremely complicated issue.

I suggest considering taking a course in economics or reading a book on it when you capture older. Your father probably have a view surrounded by one direction or another already in relation to what taxes are 'fair' and which arn't, but you really ought to wish for yourself by looking at the evidence, rather later listening to other people's view. Often people form philosophy without knowing the truth, you inevitability to strive to see the evidence and not just pocket someone's word for it. Even your parents.

good luck
Ps I reflect on it's great you're interested in this sort of point at your age. Never lose your curiousity
"If you drive a car I will import tax the street, if you try to walk I will toll your feet."
If you want to pave your own streets, lecture yourself, build your own dams and powerplants, save from harm our shores personally, regulate industry, monitor form, safety, and building standards, negotiate next to foreign powers, police your own neighbor, etc - then live somewhere lacking taxes.

P.S. You'll also have to provide job for many of your neighbors.
Hailey, even if you are just 12, you really need to work on your spelling - it's not awfully good for a 12-year-old.

The taxes on things resembling clothes are sales taxes, which is a different sort of tax than the taxes taken from your income. And the charge at the end of the year is a weighing up based on your income for the integral year - it's the same export tax as the income tax that's deduct from a paycheck - at the end of the year you total how much you really owe, then if you didn't compensate in ample already you pay the rest, or if you overpaid during the year beside what was taken out of your paychecks, you take the extra refunded to you.

If someone pays past its sell-by date the lien is the house theirs?

Question:

Answers:
It belongs to whomever is recorded on the title of the property. The mortgage merely displays the person next to the debt.
Yes, that's the plan. it belongs to the person whose dub is on the mortgage, not the one who pays it, unless there is another record agreement.
yup.
NO

(Ill play devils advocate)

The house is owned by whoever is on title. Lets say you hold a 100,000 dollar lien on a house and somebody else pays it off. The party that holds the title says thank you.

The house is owned by the creature on title regardless of who owns the lien. Otherwise people would be going around truism wow the owe 100,000 on this this and its worth 300,000. I will just pay cheque it off and its my house. Doesnt work that route.

You owe the house if you have a lien or not, paying it past its sell-by date doesnt make you owe the house in recent times means you dont hold to make a return.
Do you mean a lien on a house that's already surrounded by your name, but the lien have been placed against it? Yes, if you payment it off, next it's yours unless you have other loans or liens against it.

Or are you asking if you can compensate off a lien on someone ELSE's property and thus own it? NO!

What is a rates lien?

Question:

Answers:
Government goes to court to prove taxes are due and unpaid. File a lien at the county so that any attempt to vend or finance property will require that taxes be compensated first.
It's a hold put on an asset of yours by the IRS. You can't sell it lacking paying off the IRS debt as portion of the sale process.
The federal or state policy attaches a lien on property you own for money you owe them and in direct for you to sell or verbs title to the property you have to give pleasure to the lien. Pay them what you owe them. Good Luck.

I know nil going on for taxes but call for aid!?

Question:
OK, so last year my boyfriend worked "below the table" and didn't do his 2005 taxes. I thought he didn't have to since he didn't draw from any W-2's. So when I did his 2006 taxes, which he did have W-2's, they come back and rejected them because in attendance was nought on record for 2005. How do we fix this? Are we going to be penalize?

Answers:
He needs to collect his information for 2005 and directory a return - otherwise he is illegally evading taxes for 2005. Working "lower than the table" and not reporting the income is tax evasion, and is markedly illegal.

The IRS wouldn't own rejected a return for 2006 because there be nothing on record for 2005 - there are any number of general public who were required to record in 2006 and not contained by 2005. E-filing requires the previous year's AGI so that might not have gone through, so he would enjoy had to messages in his return.

So it sounds close to now he have TWO years returns to file. There will be penalty for 2005. For 2006, if he has a return coming he'll get it and here won't be penalties - if he owes, next yes there will be penalty added on.
Taxes are always a misery, but this website might help you out. It sustain me understand what i be suppose to do when I was spread out my tax return. Hope it help.

http://articles.directorym.com/tax_servi...
Well technically you need to report a tax return for boh years. But the not paying anything within 2005 shouldnt affect whether or not you can file for 2006. It may enjoy been rejected if you file online and put 0 for his AGI. Since he didnt file a return it wont agree to you file online in need sending in a signature form.
Well, "below the table" is not legal.

If your employer is not going to database taxes on you then it is your responsibilty to still maintain track of your income and pay your taxes. I honestly don't know how they can prove that he worked, but I recommend that you reach a deal to a tax consultant ASAP. He is probably going to hold to pay stern taxes for what he owed from 2005 before he'll obtain a refund for 2006.

soar on www.ato.gov.au and download e-tax2007. that way you cvan lodge online. the q's are really trouble-free to understand (better than toll pack). and you get a estimate up to that time you lodge. good luck
try downloading that e-tax software on the ATO website. It's pretty simple.
But since your profile looks slightly simple, as long as you are on low income under 6000/year.you should be capable of claim all ur import tax back. Once over that amount, I give attention to it's around 30% of each dollar over 6000.
You can also find the info on ATO.

It's basically too much crap about duty I agree~~...I dont know much either.
honest luck
