Question:
I was wondering if it make a difference on my financial aid if he does or not. If it doesn't, then where on earth does it have the impact?

Answers:
If he claims you on his taxes that way you cannot claim that you are living independently (not considered an adult) This can have an impact on your financial aid if they feel your father is still supporting you, as they will expect him to contribute to your schooling, and will need to see his financial documents. Also, when you file your own taxes, if you're working, if he is still claiming you after you will not get your own personal conjecture and can end up owing IRS when you could hold gotten a refund

How can you obtain withholding vertebrae from IRA rollover?

Question:
My son's friend had a retirement plan at work, (a SEP, I think) and moved out his job. The AG Edwards broker's assistant call and told him he had to lift the money if he wasn't going to add to it anymore. The kid didn't know his option and got a check, minus 20% withholding and another 10% for the hasty withdraw cost. He then endorsed the checks and put them into his regular IRA as a rollover. I know the rollover isn't taxable, but what more or less the 30% that was sent to the IRS? American Funds said it's too in arrears to get it backbone from them. Please help. Thanks.

Answers:
When he does his export tax return, he will calculate any actual tariff due. He'll show the withholding taken from the IRA added to the withholding from any jobs that he have, and if more was withheld than he owes, he'll procure it back as a repayment from the IRS.

The only problem here is that if he in recent times deposited the checks into a rollover IRA, then he lone rolled over 70% of what he withdrew, so he'll owe taxes and the 10% cost on the 30% he didn't roll over. The only approach to avoid that would have be to put in satisfactory money to the rollover IRA to cover that.
He needs to deposit the withheld money into his Rollover or the shortage will enjoy tax and cost. He will get the excess withholding rear legs when he files his taxes. The kid needs to ask question when making important financial decision. Edward Jones should have told him when they contacted him going on for the withdrawal, but it is too overdue now. Can you loan him the 30%, are you sure it be 30% not the normal 20% withholding?
They should hold withheld only 20%....not 30%.

1) He will get hold of credit for the withholding when he files 2007 return next spring. There is no path to get it backbone before consequently.

2) To truly make this transaction exempt from taxes and penalty, he would have have to come up the withholding from his own money to also put in to the IRA. If he did not, the amount that be withheld will be subject to tax and cost. It is a strange rule, but that is the bearing it is.
Sounds like this childish person get screwed. I would find out what governing body controls these brokers, I am pretty sure it is the indemnity exchange commission, call them. If it is not them, they will steer this individual in the right direction. Don't be afraid to phone the IRS, I have call them regarding an issue resembling this, believe it or not part of their opening is to help us, not only just screw us out of our hard earn money. I think it will be possible to fix this and acquire some money back, one entry for sure, do nothing and they win. Sounds resembling a broker screwed up!
He also could have done a direct rollover. That is enjoy the broker send the funds directly to the IRA.

Also, the rollover amount would own to have be deposited within 60 days to qualify for rollover treatment. Otherwise the full amount will be subject to the cost and taxes

Obtaining W2 from domino's?

Question:
There is a problem with my state rates return for 2005. The NJ dvision of taxation has hot approved my taxes and I do have a levy deficiency for that year. For this cause I need to land a W2 form for 2005 from my employer (Domino's pizza), which I did not receive before applying for a import tax return. However the franschisee has closed down his business and very soon operates contained by another city, and I am not in correct personal relations with him. Do you know if it is possible to obatin W2 form from the headquarters of Domino's? Do you know weather the payroll information get through the headquarters or remains just beside the franschisee? For this purpose, do you know any phone number or mailing address of the payroll department of Domino's?

Answers:
Okay here is the Domino's Pizza Headquarters Information. I have an idea that what you will need to do is name them or write which may take longer but administer them the information of the Domino's you worked for and the time frame. It will depend on how the franchise was set up as to where on earth the W-2 came from but I believe they will own that information.
Domino's Pizza LLC

You do have the selection of going straight to the employer and sometimes there will be a payment for obtaining prior year W-2's, but the owner may enjoy had an Accountant who would enjoy a copy of this on file.

Another Option available is to run your local IRS office and request a print out of your 2005 wallet. If you call or write near will be a fee but surrounded by most local IRS offices they will do you a hurried printout. There are 2 problems with this pick - one you may not be able to read or follow it but you could attain a local Tax Accountant to assist with that and 2 it will not grant the State withholdings for you. Perhaps your local State Revenue could help you I am not sure in the region of your state.

Another option is if you could locate your final paycheck stub from the employer it may own the information needed to fill out a substitute W-2 which can be obtain at most tax office.

Sorry for the length of this but I needed to give you adjectives your options. Good luck and remeber every year penalty and interest is self added to what you may owe so try to take behaviour as soon as possible.

I am quite sure they hold to maintain their levy records for at most minuscule 7 years for this reason. Call the Irs and explain the problem, I am sure they hold the contact info for you. They don't bite!

If i buy a shirt from usa. Cost $50. How much export tax to reward?

Question:
From a shop and they're going to post it to me.

Answers:
You will have to money VAT at 17.5% on the value inclusive of postage (approx lb4 therefore) but you will probably avoid introduction duty as it is waived if the duty is smaller amount than lb7 (EUR10).

Dominuc F is right about the VAT waiver but I believe the ceiling is lb18 for items purchased over the internet or by mail lay down - the lb25 limit is roughly gifts purchased abroad and brought rear legs inot the UK.
i dont think any cuz clothing isnt tax
Our tax rate is .865% so next to tax it should be $54.33
if you are asking from the uk goto

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/

hm customs and excise site

and the exact buy /import stuff to the uk from abroad on the internet information you want is here
http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsporta...
If you are buying it online then you won't own to pay anything here contained by USA, don't know if your country charges any duty on goods that come from outside of the country.
I deem it would come to about 52.40, but if u buy one contained by delaware, than there aint no taxes on anything.
Tax is set regionally. They will enjoy to let you know what, if anything, you will necessitate to pay.
None, you solely have to wages tax on import goods over a particular amount. I think lb25 plus is beneath that!
I buy lots of things from USA, and I think I've single once ever had to earnings, - and that was a $600 laptop, and the Duty come to about lb50. Mostly they come within under the Revenue's radar!
Keep your fingers crossed!! Good luck.

If you stay within america but work out of the country for more than partly the year fo you enjoy to pay envelope levy?

Question:

Answers:
Based upon the information provided in your cross-examine, yes, you still have to pay envelope taxes. The foreign income exclusion that I assume you are referring to has some immensely specific rules. It is also limited to just about $87,000 for the 2007 tax year. More information can be found at http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/inte...

However, any taxes that you income to a foreign government can be deductible. That is the foreign tariff credit. More information on that can be found in IRS publication 514. Here is a correlation to the index of that publication. http://www.irs.gov/publications/p514/ix0...

Good luck,
The short answer is yes.

The are very strict language about a US citizen or resident excluding other income. The sleight of hand number of days in the country for most ancestors is less than 20. But, near are many exceptions to that and most of them are related to the military.

Russ
As a US resident or citizen, you are subject to US taxation on your world-wide income regardless of where you live or work. You won't qualify for the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion but you can nick a credit against your US tax liability for any foreign income taxes compensated. File Form 1116 with your Form 1040 return to claim the credit.
If your gross is paid by a US-based company, or you own significant ties to the US (i.e. still own property, have spouse/children/parents within the country, maintain your financial affairs surrounded by the country, etc), you are considered a US resident.

That automatically puts you into the US tax brackets for worldwide income, regardless of source.

You must settle the US taxes on your entire income ... and, if there isn't a excise treaty between the US and the countries in which you are spending a immense proportion of your time, probably income tax within as well ... possibly on worldwide income.

If I started up a franchise..?

Question:
and so was roughly self employed, arranging my own tax & NI, would near be any way for my employer to know if i have a part time charge on the side? I mean as I enjoy to pay my own levy it wouldn't show up that I pay due through another company?

Answers:
Do NOT start up a franchise - the whole industry is set up to prey on the adjectives and the unwary. If you want to be your own boss get your own model and follow that - don't pay a penny to someone else for the luck to follow their dream - it will be your nightmare: it'll be a costly and painful mistake.

Leave very well alone.
I don't think so. The accounts department may be capable of access your tax contributions, but wouldn't picture they would and not even sure they could.
he wouldn't know unless you told him,,,,,,but why would you continue to work for him if you own your own biz?I've also be looking into starting my own biz, hard time getting funds though when you live paycheck to paycheck near no collateral, credit,or assets.

gains levy. What is the time scale of classing this as my chief residence before i trade so i dont have to compensate big taxes.

If you have owned and lived surrounded by a house for more than two of the past five years, you can help yourself to an exclusion assuming you haven't done that in times past two years. And, your residency doesn't have to be a constant two years, freshly two years within the possible five.

However, you still might hold to recapture some depreciation that you have taken. And, specifically taxable as an ordinary gain.

Generally, that routine most people don't wages taxes on $250,000 gain (500,000 if married and jointly owned).

Okay, to cause it simple. If you owned and lived in a house purely for 2 years and 1 day you can filch the exclusion. If you have owned a house for five years or more you own to have lived within it for at least two of the closing five years. You don't even have to be living near when you sell it to rob the exclusion.
