Is every 1099 automatically matched to your rates return, or is it a more or smaller number impulsive process?

Question:

Answers:
My experience has be that the IRS does a VERY thorough job of equivalent 1099's to tax returns. I've be notified by the IRS going on for 1099's they recieved that I was uninformed of. In that instance it was an error on the factor of the reporting company that accidentally attributed income to me. However, I have found that the states do a completely poor job of this, since apparently they individual get 1099 information that within some way is connected to their state. I enjoy had one state surrounded by particular ask me for a excise return based on a 1099 from that state when surrounded by fact I be not a resident and had no qualifiable income. I have issued another 1099 from within my state that fair out the first. I suspected that the problem might have be that the two 1099's were handle by different regional offices of the IRS so while one state thought I be raking within the dough, my home state probably thought I was losing my shirt. The money have simply passed thru my hands as piece of a real estate transaction. In any grip, don't count on the IRS not noticing, they most really will!

Other Answers:
When a 1099 or a W2 are provided to an individual or a company this information is also provided to the federal government. The federal management matches the Social Security number (or Employer ID) on both sides of the equation. This is significantly easier for them to do next to individuals than for corporations.

It's definitely not volatile, that's why everyone gets an christening number.

Would retirement accounts be indispensable if the US go to an simply "Sales Tax"?

Question:IE: What would happen to our existing Roth, IRA, SEP's, 401(k)'s, and 403(b)'s?

Answers:
Yes. The foundation that we'd still need the retirement accounts is because the US population is too used to the income base taxes -- also there's WAY too much money floating around the economy because of the current rates system for it to really change.

If the US go to a consumption based import tax (a sales or VAT tax) this would discriminatorily impact the poor because the poor spend a higher %age of their income than the sumptuous do.
